Struggling to maintain glory days, which means sacrifices are happening everywhere.
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
The flexibility for working time and tasks, as well as still a very human approach to a lot of the work and surrounding topics
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
There are signs of the company starting to grind their workers down in order to satisfy the bottom line. This could be a temporary situation as they shift under new ownership, or it could become the new norm.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Keep your appreciation with the workers, the people who are building the company. Do not trade this for satisfying new ownership.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
The team itself is completely responsible for fostering a team spirit. There is no budget for team building exercises, and inter-department communication or cooperation is seen as an inconvenience rather than opportunity
Work-Life-Balance
Never had any issues with PTO requests, and while OT is sometimes necessary, it's carefully tracked this doesn't go overboard
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Middle management is usually great, with open communication and realistic expectations. It starts to break down the higher you go, with constant swings from left to right, one day saying A the next time it's B. And usually this is because of political games
Gleichberechtigung
While I never experienced or witnessed discrimination, it's clear to see most management positions are filled by middle-aged men. Additionally I have heard stories from female colleagues of clear discrimination, or stereotype behaviours. Unfortunately I experience this more to be an Austrian issue rather than the company itself. If such blatant issues arise, they at least seem to be dealt with full force.
Gehalt/Benefits
The main office is technically not Vienna anymore, and they will pay you accordingly. In addition, the office is in such an obscure location, public transport for those living in Vienna is realistically not an enjoyable affair, nothing is done to alleviate this, so you better have a car.
