free lunch, dog friendly and kindergarten
very remotely connected office, disoriented and directionless management, non visionary leadership. firing top performers and great to work with colleagues instead of poor decision making leaders
stop going with the flow and reacting to everything and cry about what happens to you and start onboarding competent leadership
very hostile atmosphere, always shield yourself from all sides before as there are many undermining colleagues
afraid to accept that I work for this organization
very flexible and supportive when it comes to supporting individuals for families, timing and workplace
least bothered and favoritism
barely above minimum wage
free EV charging
my teammates are always pointy and are awaiting for the moment to bring each other down the first moment they get, back stabbing behavior and very passive aggressive, politically manipulating and two faced
hardly few older colleagues are here
pretends to care and listen, always making wrong decisions and everything is non transparent and one way orders falls like gravity
barely working laptops and equipments
everything is hush hush and only handful of employees who are friends with the leadership passes down information as gossips
good number of women colleagues are here
bleeding edge top notch engineering stack with Java/Kotlin, Golang, Muti Cloud, k8s
Everybody in engineering, and also some other departments, is looking for jobs outside. Managers don’t care, HR and Betriebsrat also not care. Since two engineering team leads and the HR director left, it goes down very fast. The guy was like site manager, he had things under control.
This was the place everybody wanted to work not a long time ago. But when important people like the ones above leave, it becomes very critical, everything can fall apart quickly.
Pretty good still
stock options are worth nothing
getting worse
Since the guys mentioned above left, nobody really cares and it feels like also managers just do whatever they want. The company depended a lot on some high impact people, and with them gone nobody has control anymore and also theres no trust.
ok, but a lot of old stuff in terms of hardware.
We´re getting pressure to comment positively on kununu and appreciate what we have.
getting worse as well since more stuff goes to india. With the next layoffs I think engineering in europe will be hitted hard

The general working atmosphere is positive with dedicated colleagues who support each other well. At the same time, there are some challanges that affect daily work. Staff depatures have been noticeable for a while, and replacements are often made only after a significant delay, which increase workloads within the team.
Processes in software deveplopment could benefit from updates, as current methods feel outdated and frequent interruptions make it difficult to maintain focus. Additionally, there have been several rounds of global cost-saving measures and layoffs. While the Radstadt location has just a bit been impacted so far, there is occasionally a sense of uncertainty about long-term stability.
Vacation can generally be taken quite flexibly, which is a real advantage. If issues arise during holidays or weekends our colleagues are very supportive and usually handle these situations on a voluntary basis, which helps keep the atmosphere positive. Overtime is more common than underutilization, but overall, the company shows consideration for employees with families, and personal needs are usually respected.
Team spirit remains one of the strong points of the company. Although it may have been even stronger in the past, colleagues are very supportive and willing to help whenever needed. The collaboration feels genuine and respectful, and this creates a positive atmosphere in daily work. For many employees, this is one of the most valuable aspects of working here.
Managers show effort and good intentions, but long-standing issues remain unresolved. Established roles within the company are questioned without thorough discussion, which can leave employees feeling unsettled. Career development opportunities are limited, and many leaders appear heavily burdened with work and stress, which impacts both their effectiveness and the overall atmosphere.
The office building and facilities are excellent, providing a comfortable and well-maintained environment. The equipment used could be improved in some areas, but overall the workplace is well-equipped and functional.
Communication between teams generally works well, and day-to-day collaboration is effective. However, communication toward higher management is a significant weakness. It often creates the impression that critical issues are not being addressed or that feedback from employees does not reach decision-makers.
While global meetings are held to present company figures, these sessions tend to highlight only positive aspects, leaving little room for actual state and our challenges.
Equality between men and women is well respected, and there is no noticeable difference in how employees are treated. In terms of compensation, it is difficult to make a clear statement.
Working in the field of e-mobility is engaging and gives a sense of contributing to an important and future-oriented industry. There is a wide range of topics to be involved.
Canteen and work life balance
Communcation, compensation, work load.
Better communication. Better compensation. Appreciation of employees.
Get rid of some directors.
There is a bleak atmosphere in the workplace, especially since many people have quit over the past few months. From conversations with colleagues, there also doesn’t seem to be any sign that the resignations will stop
The best aspect of this company. Great home office possibilites and flexible working hours
There is none. You hear empty promises, and yearly compensations are praised as good when they are not.
Depends on your role. You will hear from people who get the legal minimum.
Colleagues are great, always ready to help. Even between departments
The software lead doesnt seem to understand that a lot of the negative comments are aimed at him
Chaos all around, town halls with no relevant information.
Between genders its fine, but no fairness in compensation
It’s great to be working on the future of e-mobility
Wort-Life-Balance
Keine Probleme wahrgenommen.
Spannende Themen, aber durch Abteilungs-Silos oft gebremst.
More and more hostile
Ok in engineering, other departments are getting burned out
Barely ok
Still kind of ok in Radstadt, but compared to a year or longer ago you really feel it decline
Inexperienced teamleads, sr director is just fixated on what makes hin look good and it feels like the local engineering VP stopped working 6 months ago. Nobody cares
No communication or wrong on purpose. They think we're dumb
canteen and flexible working times are awesome
“Headless chicken” mode and poor communication.
Lack of recognition for extra effort.
Establish clear communication and aligned goals across all departments.
Recognize and reward employees who go above and beyond their roles.
Overall motivation is at its lowest since HasToBe was acquired four years ago, though it depends on the team. In the past 1.5 months alone, two Engineering Managers left due to poor communication. A Product Owner also left after the CTO mentioned that the role is pointless.
Check the CHPT subreddit for a public impression of the company.
This is one of the best aspects of being an engineer at ChargePoint. Flexible working times are a plus.
Opportunities are almost non-existent. People are sometimes pushed into new roles with the promise of training that never materializes.
Compensation and benefits can depend heavily on whether a director favors you.
There are colleagues who get good money. Others are staying on the lowest salary legally possible.
The company’s mission in e-mobility is inherently aligned with environmental goals.
In Radstadt, team spirit is generally good. However, there is noticeable political tension between office locations — USA vs. Europe vs. India.
Communication from leadership can be unclear and unnecessarily lengthy. Sometimes a simple question results in a 30-minute explanation that still doesn’t fully answer it.
If you receive outdated hardware, it can take years to get an upgrade. In some cases, laptops provided are not suitable for Linux.
Each department operates independently, creating conflicting priorities. Requests often come with urgency but without clarity — teams are expected to act quickly without fully understanding the goals.
Promises of bonuses or salary increases for taking on extra work are often not honored, which results in low appreciation from leadership. Employees who regularly work beyond the 38.5 hours tend to burn out and eventually leave.
It depends on the team. Some work on innovative projects, while others are stuck maintaining outdated systems (e.g., PHP).
Sehr gute Entlohnung und zusätzlich viele weitere Benefits!
Zusammenhalt
So verdient kununu Geld.
