Facilities Technician II

The Facilities Technician II at GenMark Diagnostics, a member of the Roche Group, is responsible for the overall maintenance, upkeep, and cleanliness of the facility. Key responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance on HVAC and central plant equipment, managing internal work requests, responding to alarm systems, maintaining spare parts inventory, and ensuring compliance with ISO and FDA regulatory requirements. The role also involves coordinating with contractors and supporting cross-functional staff training.

Qualified candidates should possess a High School Diploma or Technical Education with 2 to 4 years of maintenance experience in a biotech, cGMP, or medical environment. Applicants must be proficient with power tools and machine shop equipment, capable of reading schematics, and knowledgeable in HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, and familiarity with safety procedures and federal regulations are required. Candidates must be available for any shift and on-call duties, and hold a valid California driver's license.
