Service Account Manager

At ABB we support industries to become more efficient and cleaner - from resource to finished value, from the grid to the socket. We are a global technology leader in electrification and automation, enabling a more sustainable future with efficient use of resources. By connecting our knowledge in engineering and digitalization, ABB makes industry more efficient, productive, sustainable, and able to improve their performance. At ABB, we call it 'Engineered to Outrun'. The company has over 140 years of history and more than 110,000 employees worldwide. In Denmark, you will have more than 550 colleagues in offices in Ballerup, Middelfart, Esbjerg, Kalundborg and Aalborg.

Our core values: care, courage, curiosity, and collaboration - combined with a focus on diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities - are key drivers in our aim to empower everyone to create sustainable solutions. That's our story. Make it your story.

Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Service Account Manager to support ABB's offshore customers with a strong focus on operational reliability, lifecycle services and long-term value creation.

In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for a select group of key accounts, building trusted relationships with stakeholders across customer organisations and within ABB. You will help customers maximise uptime and production while proactively identifying opportunities related to service agreements, modernization initiatives, cybersecurity, lifecycle management and obsolescence handling. The role requires a structured approach to planned shutdowns, rapid coordination during critical incidents and the ability to challenge established ways of working to improve customer outcomes. You will also contribute valuable customer insights that support future project and service opportunities. As several customers operate internationally, collaboration across cultures and nationalities will be a natural part of your daily work.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage and develop long-term relationships with offshore customers and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate service agreements and ensure delivery of agreed service commitments.
  • Drive lifecycle management activities to support reliable and efficient operations.
  • Advise customers on modernization opportunities, cybersecurity and obsolescence strategies.
  • Plan and coordinate service activities related to scheduled shutdowns and maintenance periods.
  • Ensure rapid handling and escalation of critical operational issues.
  • Collaborate with internal specialists and teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Provide customer insights and operational knowledge to support future project opportunities.

Qualifications for the role

  • Experience working with industrial automation, offshore operations or related technical service environments.
  • Ability to manage customer relationships and coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Knowledge of service agreements, lifecycle management and operational support activities.
  • Experience handling technical discussions related to reliability, maintenance or modernization.
  • Structured approach to prioritization and coordination in dynamic environments.
  • Professional communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to collaborate successfully across functions, cultures and nationalities.

More about us
