Packaging Associate Manager

Roche is seeking an Associate Manager for a new greenfield facility in Shanghai. This role involves supporting the establishment of operations, including facility design, qualification, and manufacturing readiness, while overseeing daily packaging activities such as needle cutting, visual checks, and labeling. The position requires strong execution skills, leadership, and a commitment to GMP/SHE compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop an inclusive team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
• Manage daily SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) requirements and KPIs.
• Support strategic project realization, including equipment selection, URS review, and facility construction.
• Oversee routine manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and production schedules.
• Lead operator training, deviation investigations, and change control processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on tech transfers and regulatory audits.

Requirements

• College degree or higher in Pharmaceutical or Biological sciences.
• 10+ years of operational experience in the injection pharmaceutical industry, preferably in MNC Bio-pharma.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Experience with strategic projects in labeling and packaging facility design and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP and biological industry regulations.
• Fluent English communication skills.
