Senior Development Engineer

As a Senior Development Engineer in the Point of Care (PoC) Diagnostics environment, you will independently conceptualize and execute complex system development and evaluation tasks. You will lead technical initiatives, shape optical measurement techniques, and collaborate across boundaries to bring healthcare solutions closer to patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement work packages focused on optics and fluidics.
• Plan and execute system performance verifications and manage technical specifications and risks.
• Advance optical-based measurement technologies, particularly spectroscopy.
• Provide technical leadership to a laboratory team.
• Oversee specialized projects from initial concept to system interface analysis.
• Prepare regulatory-compliant documentation, including test plans and manufacturing procedures.
• Represent the department in technical committees and communicate scientific data to partners.

Qualifications

• University degree in a technical or scientific field such as Medical Engineering, Chemistry, or Biology.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the development of diagnostic measurement systems (PoC or Core Lab).
• Proven expertise in optical measurement techniques, spectroscopy, and optical system development.
• Practical experience with statistical methods and regulatory-compliant documentation.
• Demonstrated experience in project management or technical team leadership within a matrix organization, with proficiency in English.
