Job Description

Tieto Iberia is part of the Tieto Group and combines local expertise with the global strength of Tieto, a leading software and digital engineering services company with worldwide presence and capabilities.

As part of our continued growth strategy, we are looking for a Data Engineer to strengthen our data and analytics team, contributing to the design, development, and optimization of data solutions that support critical business processes and decision-making for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data integration and ETL processes.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL and PL/SQL code.
  • Design and implement multidimensional data models to support reporting and analytics needs.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data processing workflows and database performance.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across systems.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and data platform evolution projects.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Contribute to Agile delivery processes and continuous delivery practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of relational databases, particularly Oracle 12c or later versions.
  • Experience developing ETL processes (ODI experience is preferred but not mandatory).
  • Strong SQL expertise, including CRUD operations, data modeling, transaction management, and performance tuning.
  • Solid experience with PL/SQL development.
  • Strong understanding of multidimensional data modeling concepts.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and/or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
  • Understanding of Continuous Delivery practices and methodologies.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
  • Exposure to modern data platforms and analytics environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
