System Processes Expert (m/f/d)

As a System Processes Expert, you will drive the optimization of the interplay between analyzers and wet chemistry within the Serum Work Area (SWA) organization. You will define and develop system processes to ensure peak platform performance, provide functional leadership to R&D teams, and manage complex, cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Define instrument-side system processes, including wash cycles, fluidics, and standby procedures.
• Provide functional leadership to R&D teams within a matrix structure and design experimental plans.
• Plan, lead, and monitor global R&D projects, coordinating between R&D, Quality, and support teams.
• Handle product complaints, drive root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Prepare strategic decision-making documentation and interpret project risks.
• Analyze R&D results and manage documentation, including test plans, reports, and patent applications.

Requirements

• PhD in a technical or scientific discipline (e.g., bioengineering, physics, mechatronics, or life sciences).
• 3 - 5 years of professional experience in system development, integration, or verification & validation, ideally in the IVD or MedTech industry.
• Deep understanding of complex diagnostic system architecture (fluidics, mechanics, software).
• Ability to bridge the gap between wet chemistry and hardware/software.
• Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in German and English with intercultural competence.
