Responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate leads by discovering sales opportunities and engaging key decision-makers.
• Develop and monitor regional commercial growth plans to achieve revenue and strategic goals.
• Manage sales opportunities effectively using CRM tools.
• Conduct product presentations and consultative discussions to showcase sequencing solutions.
• Provide technical expertise, including application consultations and data analysis support.
• Represent Roche at conferences and networking events to establish thought leadership.
• Collaborate with marketing, product management, and service teams to align sales efforts.
• Partner with subregional teams to implement strategic plans for market penetration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in selling capital equipment within the diagnostics or life sciences industry.
• Deep understanding of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and related genomic techniques.
• Excellence in negotiation, strategic planning, and organizational abilities.
• Strong consultative selling skills and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Ability to deliver impactful presentations and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to undertake national and international travel.
• Native proficiency in Japanese and professional proficiency in English.
• Preferred: 5+ years in clinical research or academic laboratory environments and experience selling NGS sequencers.
