Field Engineering Specialist
As a Field Engineering Specialist at Roche, you will provide industry-defining technical support, repair, and installation services for laboratory customers within an assigned territory. You will diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures, ensuring cost-effective resolutions to minimize customer downtime while maintaining compliance with quality procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide routine technical support and perform on-site service, repair, and installation of company products.
- Diagnose system failures and determine the most effective repair solutions.
- Document all activities in compliance with company quality procedures.
- Provide analysis and feedback on product failure trends and serviceability issues.
- Maintain and improve the quality system through daily actions.
Requirements
- High school diploma with 2 years of technical school, military training, or work experience.
- 5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware, software, or networking.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 1-2 years of progressive experience.
- Successful completion of required training or certification.
- Ability to travel, including up to 25% overnight travel.
