Country Chief Accountant (Japanese/Korean Speaker)

The Position

You will be responsible for coordinating with SSC KL Finance teams to execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. Key responsibilities include performing analytical reviews of profit and loss accounts and balance sheets, managing Internal Controls of Financial Reporting (ICFR), and overseeing balance sheet reconciliations. You will handle accounts receivable and payable approvals, manage treasury functions including cash flow forecasting and FX deals, and maintain master data. Additionally, you will prepare statutory tax calculations, liaise with auditors, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while serving as the primary contact for financial matters.

Who you are

You hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce, with professional qualifications like ACCA or CPA being an advantage. You possess at least 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in an accounting or audit role, with strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation. Proficiency in SAP and MS Office is required. You are a meticulous, proactive professional with strong communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of working in a dynamic environment and operating effectively across diverse cultures. Proficiency in English is required, with additional language skills in Japanese or Korean considered an asset.
