Laboratory Manager Pathology CAP/CLIA (m/f/d)

Roche is seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee a dual-specialty pathology and immunoassay laboratory. This role involves leading a team to transform complex biological data into clinical insights for patients with cancer and other diseases, while ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily laboratory workflows, synchronizing pathology and immunoassay processes to ensure competitive turnaround times.
• Maintain an inspection-ready culture, serving as the primary lead for CAP/CLIA and ISO 15189 audits.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of laboratory scientists to foster technical excellence.
• Manage the validation and implementation of new assays and novel platforms.
• Drive Digital Pathology transformation by integrating whole-slide imaging and AI-based analysis into clinical workflows.
• Identify opportunities for workflow optimization and cost-effective management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related Biological Science (Master’s or PhD preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Proven expertise in anatomic pathology and automated immunoassay workflows is a distinct advantage.
• Track record of maintaining zero-deficiency inspections and navigating complex global regulations.
