Job Description

About us

Through advanced, intuitive technology, Tieto Caretech reduces administrative work, improves decision-making, and strengthens safety and quality in health and social care. With the Lifecare software portfolio we enable health and social care professionals to focus on what matters most: people.

We are a global team of professionals working on providing products and services to different sectors from intensive care to laboratory and social care. In addition to working closely with our customers, we also have our own products that we build and develop for various fields in society. From enabling healthcare professionals to spend more valuable time with their patients to providing data for professional athletes to achieve even better results, we make all that possible. With us you can be part of advancing societies through purposeful technology and make your mark on the health and wellbeing of people.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Performance Test Engineer to join our agile product development team and play a key role in building a modern digital solution ecosystem for the healthcare and welfare sector. As a Senior Performance Test Engineer, you will focus on designing, implementing, and executing performance and load testing strategies to ensure our applications meet scalability, reliability, and responsiveness requirements. You will analyze system behavior under various conditions, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate closely with development and operations teams to optimize performance across the entire technology stack. Your expertise will help guarantee seamless user experience and compliance with industry standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

In this role you will be responsible for

  • Design, build, and maintain performance testing frameworks and tools to validate scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Develop and execute performance, load, and stress test scenarios, ensuring integration into CI/CD pipelines for continuous performance validation.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and operations to embed performance testing and optimization practices into daily workflows.
  • Analyze system behavior under varying conditions, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and enhance existing performance test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency, maintainability, and accuracy.
  • Promote best practices in performance engineering and contribute to overall quality and system optimization across the organization.

To succeed in this role, you would ideally have

  • Strong experience in performance testing and software quality assurance - you understand different levels of performance validation and what it takes to ensure scalability and responsiveness.
  • Previous experience in performance testing within a product development organization, with a strong appreciation for customer experience and the ability to translate real-world performance issues into effective test strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as Robot Framework, JMeter, Ranorex, Gatling, or LoadRunner, and familiarity with monitoring and profiling tools (e.g., Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus).
  • Experience in scripting languages like JavaScript or Python, and solid understanding of Git and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
  • Ability to analyze system behavior under load, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable recommendations for optimization.
  • Interest and motivation to work in agile software development, collaborating closely with developers, QA, and operations teams.
  • Good communication skills and fluent language skills in Finnish and English, enabling clear reporting and customer-focused discussions.

It would be beneficial if you also have

  • If you are already a seasoned professional looking for new challenges.
  • Experience in testing large-scale, business-critical systems, especially in regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with healthcare and welfare sector regulations and how they impact software testing and compliance.
  • Strong willingness to deepen technical expertise in performance testing, continuously improve as a QA professional, and collaborate effectively as a team player

What’s in it for you?

With us you will be part of the important and meaningful work of developing healthcare and welfare for all of us. You have an important mission to make a difference that really matters. In addition, as a company we offer you professional growth, open and friendly culture, and an outstanding work-life balance! We believe that our organizational culture is an important part of enabling you to be successful. We provide a flexible hybrid work model as part of our culture and way of working.

Finally, we also believe in curiosity and learning as a lifestyle. We want to encourage you to keep up that curiosity and deepen your knowledge on topics you’re interested in. For example, we host a ‘Keep Learning Week’ twice a year, a week where everyone at Tietoevry has the possibility to join different training courses in a truly global setting.

Could you be our new colleague?

We look forward to hearing from you! Please submit your application. However, we will fill the position as soon as we find the right person, so we encourage you to apply today. If you have any questions regarding this role, please contact the hiring manager Saija Heinikoski (saija.heinikoski@tietoevry.com).

We perform background checks on all final candidates.

We encourage applicants of all backgrounds, genders (m/f/d), and walks of life to join our team, as we believe that this fosters an inspiring workplace and fuels innovation.
