Director Product & BDM Battery Advanced Dev. (f/m/d)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Management

• Develop and implement product and sales strategies for battery solutions while continuously optimizing the product portfolio in line with market needs and company objectives
• Monitor product and business performance, conduct analyses, and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making
• Identify and assess technological trends and regulatory impacts
• Drive R&D topic definition in line with market and product strategy with a focus specifically on data-driven development methodologies and new business models
• Represent AVL at conferences, expos, and in publications

Business Development

• Lead and motivate global sales teams for assigned products and drive sales enablement activities for new offerings
• Drive go-to-market strategies through the analysis of market trends, customer needs, portfolio opportunities, and customer segmentation
• Develop compelling sales packages and materials in collaboration with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing
• Support quotation development and sales qualification training to strengthen commercial success and customer engagement
• Coordinate marketing efforts, including congresses, publications, and customer workshops

YOUR PROFILE:

• Completed Education (Master’s preferred) in Engineering, Business (University or University of Applied Sciences, University of Technology, or comparable)
• Experience in business development, technical sales, or product management within the battery or similar industry
• Strong strategic, analytical, and financial business planning skills
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional, global teams in an international and intercultural environment
• Excellent understanding of market dynamics and product lifecycle management
• AI-native mindset with confident use of modern AI tools for market analysis, strategic planning, and business development
• Business fluent in English, German and additional languages a plus
