This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility. We are seeking a highly experienced professional with a strong background in metro operations to strengthen the integration between Rolling Stock and external systems. The role focuses on ensuring seamless interaction between Rolling Stock and other systems such as signalling, depot equipment, infrastructure, operations control and maintenance processes across the full project lifecycle.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Support R&D, bids and projects with a system-level operational perspective
  • Translate operator requirements, constraints and practices into engineering and design input
  • Contribute to assess impact of operational concepts on vehicle design
  • Act as Rolling Stock Interface Manager in bids and projects
  • Coordinate the technical interface clarifications between Rolling Stock and external interface partners
  • Ensure alignment of system boundaries, functionalities and responsibilities
  • Coordinate with customers, operators and partners to ensure end-to-end system performance
  • Identify issues and conflicts relating to external interfaces which could affect the project execution
  • Verify coherence of schedule links between ME EN activities with EN activities of interface partners
  • Act as the first escalation level for deviations regarding schedule & scope, and ensure resolution
  • In coordination with PM & contract manager: negotiate and resolve contractual conflicts and deviations
  • Coordinate and support verification & validation activities related to external interfaces

What Makes This Role Unique

  • Combines operator know-how with engineering decision-making
  • Bridges a critical gap between rail vehicle design and real-world operation
  • Creates real system-level impact, not limited to rolling stock scope
  • Enables more competitive and realistic bids through early integration of operational knowledge

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Extensive experience in metro operations or operator-side system integration
  • Deep understanding of dependencies between Rolling Stock and external systems
  • Proven experience in managing complex technical interfaces across organisational boundaries
  • Strong knowledge of metro operations concepts (GoA2 / GoA4 environments)
  • Ability to translate between operations, engineering and project management perspectives
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Fluent in English
