Not your usual banking environment
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Amazing exposure given to interns, great learning experience, motivating working environment, nice salary and work-life balance, great for foreigners (Austrians are a minority in the banking division)
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Consider rebranding. Name is a bit trivial when it comes to explaining what the bank does and its strategic positioning. Hard to explain its not an average sparkasse or kantonalbank. Perhaps give a bit more structure to internships.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
People are quite relaxed and friendly, although a bit more attention could be given to socializing.
Kommunikation
Mostly in English (great for foreigners) although some internal communications are still in German. Not too big of a deal, though. No complaints.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
As stated above, overall good atmosphere in the office, although socialization might be lacking a bit.
Work-Life-Balance
In the banking department, more intense hours than an average Austrian company, but significantly better than most competitors and other investment banks, especially foreigners. In investment banking, I doubt it can get any better than this.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Great senior bankers.
Interessante Aufgaben
As an intern, you get to do many different tasks - some extremely interesting, and some a bit less. But that is totally normal and acceptable. Overall, the inclusion and exposure that an intern gets here is great.
Gleichberechtigung
Felt very included as a foreigner.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
Senior are very approachable and friendly.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Great attention is paid to ESG factors.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Great salary as an intern, plus meal allowance every day.
Image
Exceeding expectations. The name (Kommunalkredit) might not give the proper and correct impression of the bank (agile boutique with focus on Infra & Energy).
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Relatively smooth and meritocratic career path.
