I'm at the beginning of my career and have applied for a position in software development. When I started working, I was immediately thrown into the deep end and had to work on one of the largest projects - as an HTL graduate, I was overwhelmed. A colleague told me that no one really has any understanding in this project because many programmers have worked on it in the past and the code is difficult to read. Why do you give a new employee with no professional experience at this time a project like this?! When I asked about training or other educational opportunities, I was told the company don't have enough resources.
When I spoke to the management, I was finally told that they had higher expectations of me. The person who hired me had no idea about the Austrian school system and thought that an HTL school was comparable to a bachelor's degree. Before you hire someone, you should think about the applicant's qualifications and educational background!

More investment should be made in motivated young professionals, as they are the future of the company. Also, there is still a lot of room for improvement in communication between the hierarchy levels - this should definitely be changed if this company is to continue to exist for a longer period of time.

The company has flexitime, core hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., but also on Fridays, so you can't go home at lunchtime like at other companies
