Working atmospere at the lowest
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
At the moment, the colleagues and the projects are the best aspects of the job.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Generally taking big decisions without fully thinking them through, and without listening to the advice coming from the middle management.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Try to focus more on the employees, and really take their opinions into account. Be more transparent in the decisions that are taken.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Up until recently, the trust and cohesion in the company was at a good level. After the decision of forcing employees to come the office 4 days per week was announced, the atmosphere went down. Nobody is really understanding why the decision had to be taken, and why it was such a harsh measure, from 0 days to 4 days per week in the office.
Kommunikation
In between departments and teams, everyone does its best to communicate valuable information so that we successfully deliver our projects. When it comes to the communication from the top management, this was never a strong aspect. The latest news (4-days policy) was delivered in a poor manner, very sudden and without transparency. It was promoted as a way of enhancing the company culture and peer interaction, but in fact it feels like a measure of control and lack of trust in the employees.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
This was so far one of the best things in the company: the colleagues. From sharing daily activities and tasks, to enjoying lunch together, there was always a positive and fun connection between us.
Work-Life-Balance
Work-life balance was another thing that was good enough until one month ago. After the 4-days policy, there is less flexibility for employees to balance their personal time with the work time. The new rule is very rigid and it doesn't allow the weekly home-office day to be transferred to the next week. Also, there is zero flexibility when it comes to working from outsde the country - for example, when visiting family.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
The direct superiors I have worked with are great professionals, they are capable of treating their teams in a fair manner and are very skilled in leading them.
Interessante Aufgaben
The company is continously evolving and there are always exciting projects coming up. There is not that much you can influence when it comes to prioritizing the projects/ deciding which one should be implemented first, however there is a high flexibility and freedom in the way you can approach a project and execute/deliver it.
Arbeitsbedingungen
The office in Vienna has a lot of shortcomings: from loud construction noises, to very frequent issues with the heating system. After the 4-days in office policy, we are also facing the issues of lacking the necessary space - for example, in the lunch area - or insufficient office facilities.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
The salary level is good, and paid on time. The other benefits, however, are very little or rather non-existent. There are no benefits that most companies are now offering, such as transportation, lunch or sports activities vouchers.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
There are no clear plans for career development on company-level. An employee can advance profesionally only if (s)he is personally motivated and determined to learn more.
