Verbesserungsvorschläge

RBI, you really have a lot to fix.
- Loyalty and Corporate Culture
- Business Field Alignment/ Reorganisation
- HC & HC compensation schemes

I think my feedback is already enough and we actually do not have any advisory contract.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

Due to the structure of the role, a working student is always tied to one anchor role in the organisation. This setup makes it on the one hand nice to increase exposure to the field you are working in, but on the other heavily reliable on the other counterpart. So it might not be about you, but about your manager. You might have a good or bad experience in a sense of only working with one person, who is only spontaneously dropping some work, which leads to a very unpleasant and unwelcoming work atmosphere.

Kommunikation

As a working student, it was not in my interest to care about management board decisions, and since I already touched upon the part of an unwelcoming atmosphere, I think I also was not really the target receiver of any corporate communication. The communication with my manager was over a long period very well structured with only some issues. As our relationship reached the pre-end phase (before resigning) and my work was obviously not really required anymore, I realised a very significant downturn in communication and carelessness about my presence.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

RBI in general seems to be a very historically grown organisation. There are a lot of overlapping business fields in several entities, which creates a feeling of competition among the entities on the same market. Zooming into my own entity I had the impression that there are two types of teams: collaborating ones and non-collaborating ones.

Work-Life-Balance

People are wondering about performance. Maybe it’s because the majority leaves the office at 3.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

I feel betrayed.
In my role, I was supporting on a project which was of strategic relevance for 2 entities. As it was in my interest, I asked my manager several times for a regular contract, because I have already 2 years of work experience. The manager communicated several times that he would like to approach this in a defined time frame. It happened two times, that the manager broke this agreement. After the manager finished the project with me, and secured his role, I received my resignation contract.
I think that points it out pretty well.

Interessante Aufgaben

The tasks are interesting, but there is a huge gap in competence and payment. The tasks are defined, such that it is hard to guess, what you are actually doing in the end. Having said this, an exemplary contract could state “preparing excel lists/ ppts ”. That the excel list or the ppt is in the end for the chief executive and is not just a list or just a ppt, is hidden information and leads to a significant under compensation of most of the work done by working students at RBI. (Leaving out the information, that there are people hiding in the organisation, with absolutely nothing to do.)

Gleichberechtigung

I would love to give 0 stars here.
As a working student, I felt disrespected and discriminated for being a student.

I have two years of full time experience at a big four and worked my ass off before starting my masters, but I have never seen people not taking other people serious in business or treating them like they are second class.
It was a very unfair experience from the beginning until the end. I acknowledge that a degree does not underpin a salary or a position, but it should be at least respected that someone might be more skilled than the actual permanent staff is.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

Sorry, but I feel bad for the people who will lose their pension and spend decades with RBI and the people who have a significant gap in skill and compensation, or even among the same teams. RBI-experience is the only determinant of payment. That’s really not fair.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

That’s really the worst I have ever seen in my entire life and a farewell to the Austrian labour market from my side.

We all know who is fined by FMA and several other national authorities.
