Internationality, more than 30 nations in 1 office in Vienna
Need a reality check, many leaders think they are flexible but compared to an average EU/USA company they wouldn’t survive 1 month in a similar position elsewhere. Lots of talking, thousands of unstructured meetings with almost no outcome or actions. Long office and work hours due to pure inefficiency and in many cases also incompetence. They really need to walk the talk, say goodbye to underperformers who are just focused on building internal relations to cover their asses instead of firing people who speak up and want to improve things
cultural change needs personnel change, from the top in the first place; instead of promoting political versatile Portuguese speaking Yay sayers focus on real talents to build a truly international organization
Very tense and based on mistrust
Good salary but many technical mistakes, wrong payouts
No structured communication, most info via informal channels or drinking coffee
Clear glass ceiling, only 3 non Brazilians/non Portuguese above a certain level. Have been in the company for 20+ years. No promotion based on merit but based on relations (“we like you”)
Still interesting sector and industry
Compensation and office atmosphere
Inefficient systems and processes, combined with high performance demands, take a toll on work-life balance and overall job satisfaction
can be known from the rest of the feedback
The work environment is generally positive, with friendly colleagues and approachable managers. The office is international, but Brazilian culture is very present. Brazilian employees often speak Portuguese among themselves, which can feel a bit exclusive to non-Portuguese speakers
In Brazil Suzano is a well-known, prestigious employer. In Austria, outside of the paper-pulp industry, nobody knows Suzano
This company focuses strongly on results. Employees are expected to perform, despite ubiquitous inefficiencies in the processes and outdated systems, which can sometimes mean VERY LONG and STRESSFUL workdays, especially during month-end closures
There are fair mobility chances. Even opportunity for promotion, department changes and salary increase. But I had an impression that management positions (in particular senior mngt.) are almost exclusively reserved for Brazilians
The team within the office works well together, but collaboration with other global teams is often chaotic and disorganized. This creates frustration and tension
It depends on each department. In my case, the manager of my department was friendly, but in my opinion rather unqualified for the job: hands-off, without much insight into the processes, with difficulty to explain operational details and not a great communicator
Office hardware in Vienna is quite new. The systems themselves are often outdated, slow and frustrating to work with
Generally okay but it depends on the team manager or department
Compensation package quite satisfactory, even at entry level. But when you think of the work-life-balance, for sure I take away the 5-stars rating
lots of administrative, uninteresting, repetitive tasks... the challenge came from the workload and outstanding pressure to deliver, not from the nature of the job itself
salary
terrible communication leading to lots of internal gossips, work environment, culture and drivers, way too much hierarchical, and not invest in good talents
Adjust the work culture, while you do not improve the culture of the company it will be always a stressful place to work with a high turnover of employees. And most important do as you say, because most of the time the speech is beautiful but it does not represent the reality.
Be more of an international company and try to adjust to other cultures not only bring people and culture from Brazil
Most stressful place I've ever been, employees do not feel secure in this company
personal life doesn't really matter, it is more important to deliver
Good salary, if not for the payment I wouldn't have stayed one day more
It is possible to find good people, but most of the time people are worried about being more important than you and really competitive
not everyone can be professional, if you're a direct or straight forward person it could be a problem, people tend to take things always very personal
not professional, people tend to lean on personal opinions quite often, and play favorites based on your work group of ''friends''
Lack of communication, company extremely hierarchical that you badly can speak with some supervisors nor managers
very little women in higher position, basically you need to be Brazilian to have better opportunities
tasks can be very interesting and good opportunities to learn and be challenged, however, most of the time is based on delivery not quality
Fair Kultur, Multi Kulti Atmosphäre
Englischsprache Firma
Work-Life Balance
Keine weggeworfenen Arbeiter
Gute KollegInnen und freundlich Atmosphäre, per DU nennen. Multi culti
Gehalt in vlbg vergleichsweise gut
