Arbeitsatmosphäre
We are on a transformation journey to become an international company (think global but act local) and network company. The journey can sometimes be intense but we are all learning and growing a lot from junior consultant to partner to backoffice colleagues. The new offices in Zurich and Lausanne will certainly bring the dynamic to a whole new level.
Kommunikation
Communication was "simple" and straightforward as we where less than 200 people and everyone knew each other. Now that we are growing and transforming our brand (AWK to eraneos) to an international company, the room for misinterpretation seems to come bigger. Nevertheless, I really appreciate the culture of direct face-to-face communication, both with colleagues and with management.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
It is mainly the people that make eraneos so special! There is this culture of "willingness to help each other" even when everybody is very busy. Colleagues at every level find always time to exchange ideas or to bring their expertise.
Work-Life-Balance
In consulting and project life, there are some though periods when deadlines need to be met. However, quiet a lot can be influenced on individual level e.g. type of projects, working location, annual working hours etc.
Furthermore, some events are open to family members (christmas party and BBQ in summer).
Vorgesetztenverhalten
We live the coach-coachee principle. Taking initiatives and entrepreneurship is well encouraged and recognised from management.
Interessante Aufgaben
As everywhere, there are some very interesting and challenging projects and some less attractive mandates. What's nice is that you can influence and take ownership regarding the projects and/or topics on which you would like to contribute.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
On projects, I really appreciate to work with experienced people who bring their expertise and stories from previous experiences but also with younger professionals - coming from university - who are very curious and eager to learn a lot rapidly. This mix of experiences gives a great dynamic in the project teams.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Working conditions depend on where you work from. As a consultant, I have the ability to choose my work location: on client's site, at home, in the eraneos-offices, in the train... the conditions are sometimes very nice (with view on the lake) and sometimes can be a bit more difficult when you are travelling by train. We got new offices in Zurich and Lausanne, nicely located next to the train station.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
I see many internal initiatives driven by enthusiastic colleagues to develop services and make awareness about sustainability but also initiatives taken by the company to reduce its footprint (recycling, no throwaway service, distribution of Nikin gift bottles, SBB-abonnements, travelling by train etc.). On the other side, as an international company, more colleagues are travelling by airplane for internal meetings (partner conferences etc.)
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
The salary ranges for non-management levels are transparently documented and communicated.

AWK has a very good reputation especially in the public sector where we aim to connect the dots on the different levels (federal, cantons and communes)
Karriere/Weiterbildung
In my opinion, a lot of effort is dedicated to people development. The expectations for each level are documented and the support is given to develop different dimensions (client, project, personal etc.). External trainings - which are not on the internal catalog - are financially supported.
