Industry Manager

At Endress+Hauser, progress happens by working together. As the global leader in measurement instrumentation, with over 18,000 employees, we shape the future in the field of process automation. Whether developing and realizing new technology as a team, collaborating to build instrumentation, or strengthening vital relationships with countless global industries, we work to create trusted relationships that help everyone thrive. As a family-owned company, we look beyond short-term moves and work to create a vision that is forward-thinking for our people, our clients, and the world at large.

We are looking for an Industry Manager to join us and drive digital growth in the Food & Beverage industry, with the potential to expand into other hybrid and hygienic process industries. Endress+Hauser Digital Solutions is our Product Center for the Industrial Internet of Things - where 200 innovators collaborate in 12 agile squads, backed by over 200 IIoT patents and an ISO 27001-certified commitment to security - to deliver cutting-edge hardware, software, and cloud services that unlock the full potential of process-industry data.

What is the role about?

Do you know how Food & Beverage companies digitalize their operations, from the key applications to the software, automation systems and partners involved? Can you turn that insight into clear offers that customers want to buy? And do you enjoy bringing Sales, Marketing, Technology and the Sales Centers together behind one plan?

In this role, you combine industry knowledge with commercial drive to turn digital insight into stronger offerings and measurable growth. You report to the Head of Business Development and work closely with Product Management, Marketing, R&D, Sales and the Sales Centers. The role is a corporate function based in Reinach, Switzerland.

Which tasks will you perform?

You will:

  • Define and execute the 3 - 5-year digital growth strategy and go-to-market plan for Food & Beverage, and Water, Wastewater & Waste industries.
  • Build deep insight into how customers in these industries work, including their priority applications, technology architectures, data flows, implementation partners and buying expectations.
  • Position our existing digital portfolio for the most important applications, and turn unmet customer needs into clear portfolio and innovation priorities.
  • Develop industry-specific value propositions and solution bundles that link customer challenges to measurable business outcomes.
  • Drive the execution of the strategy across functions and markets, with clear ownership, priorities and follow-through, together with Sales, Marketing, Technology and the Sales Centers.
  • Lead flagship customer projects from the first idea to market scaling, including the business case, solution definition and commercial closure, in partnership with the Sales Centers and Strategic Account Managers, and track your impact through revenue, order intake, qualified pipeline, software adoption, connected installed base and portfolio penetration.

What do we expect from you?

You:

  • Have digital industry expertise in the Food & Beverage industry, including their priority applications, architectures, systems and technology partners.
  • Knowledge of the Water, Wastewater & Waste industry would be an advantage.
  • Bring strong experience in digital transformation, industrial digital solutions, business development, solution sales or digital product management.
  • Combine an external market view with the ability to move from strategy to customer engagement, opportunity development and commercial execution.
  • Translate customer challenges and digital trends into clear positioning, scalable solutions and measurable business opportunities.
  • Take ownership, focus on execution and are accountable for commercial results, and you lead through influence across Business Development, Product Management, Marketing, R&D and Sales.
  • Build effective relationships and communicate confidently across functions, cultures and decision levels within an international and global matrix organization.
  • Have excellent English skills and are willing to travel internationally (10 - 20%). Additional languages are an advantage.

What can you expect from us?

  • We give you ownership of a strategic growth area with direct visibility across customers, Sales Centers and senior stakeholders.
  • We let you shape how Endress+Hauser positions and develops its digital portfolio in two priority industries.
  • We offer you the chance to build new digital business models and flagship applications within a global organization.
  • A dynamic and innovative work environment at the forefront of digital transformation.
  • Opportunities and training for professional growth and career development.
  • A flexible and family-friendly work culture that supports work-life balance.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package including health programs.
  • The security and prospects of an international, family-owned company that supports sustainability and diversity and has a long-term vision.
