Team Lead Supply Chain

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

This business unit is our logistics hub in Europe and provides logistical services for METTLER TOLEDO in the worldwide service business and in the import and export of products. To strengthen the transformation of our EU-HUB into a more automated, efficient, and lean operation, we are looking for our global operational headquarter in Nänikon-Greifensee for a committed and self-driven personality as a Team Lead Supply Chain 100% (all genders).

In this role, your responsibilities would include:
  • Ensure reliable end-to-end SCM operations and consistently meet customer service standards at the 3PL interface.
  • Act as the first point of contact for SCM issues, providing hands-on troubleshooting and fast resolution.
  • Coordinate escalated 2nd- and 3rd-level support topics with the wider MT global network.
  • Manage the 3PL relationship operationally, ensuring accountability to agreed SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards.
  • Drive the EU-HUB transformation through automation, digitalization, and process re-engineering.
  • Analyze logistics and supply chain processes to identify inefficiencies and improve productivity, throughput, and accuracy.
  • Apply Lean and 5S methods, along with structured root cause analysis and CAPA/8D problem-solving, to eliminate waste and improve performance.
  • Define, monitor, and act on KPIs to support data-driven decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Partner with the 3PL and internal stakeholders to implement sustainable, scalable improvement initiatives across the EU-HUB.
  • Develop and maintain SCM standards, ensure global process alignment, and lead continuous improvement and capability-building efforts.

What You Need to Succeed

Following requirements are necessary for this role:
  • You have a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • You bring several years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations, including at least 2 years in a team leadership role.
  • You have hands-on experience with SAP and Lean methodologies.
  • Ideally you have knowledge of the 8D problem-solving process and agile management methods.
  • You have a strong analytical mindset with a proactive, change-oriented approach and a proven ability to work with people, inspire them and deliver results.
  • You are fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.

Our Offer to You

We offer:
  • Flexible working hours (depending on the role), a hybrid work model, and a wide portfolio of training opportunities
  • A 40-hour work week with at least 25 vacation days per year, plus 4 to 7 additional days off between bank holidays
  • Free parking and direct access to public transport
  • Healthy lunches cooked onsite at our own METTLER TOLEDO restaurant, with special prices for employees
  • A range of additional attractive benefits, including employee discounts at select area businesses
You can expect challenging, interesting, and varied tasks in an innovative and international environment, with the opportunity to network globally and achieve your career goals.
