Embedded Software Development Lead (80-100%)

Summary

Lead the technical delivery of embedded software for innovative products, from requirements definition through to successful release. This role combines hands-on technical leadership, cross-functional coordination, and delivery ownership to ensure high-quality software solutions are developed, integrated, and deployed.

What You'll Do

• Lead the technical execution of embedded software development projects from concept to product delivery.
• Coordinate and guide software developers to ensure quality, efficiency, and timely delivery.
• Translate system requirements into software architecture, designs, and actionable development tasks.
• Drive the integration of software solutions into broader digital ecosystems, including cloud services, tools, and production environments.
• Collaborate closely with Integration & Verification (I&V), Sensing, Hardware, and other engineering teams.
• Ensure effective utilization and integration of embedded platform capabilities, such as RTOS and MATLAB/Simulink frameworks.
• Identify and proactively manage technical risks, dependencies, and resource conflicts.
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and key milestones to stakeholders, product owners, and management.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Several years of experience in embedded software development or a similar technical software environment.
• Proven experience planning, estimating, and monitoring software development activities within project-based environments.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into structured software deliverables and technical solutions.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams and driving technical alignment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions despite incomplete information.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience working with external development partners or nearshore teams is an advantage.
