Charismatic office.
Puts economic development in front of human and social development.
TAKE CARE OF YOUR PEOPLE and put capable, psychologically sane and mature management in place. Stop drinking so much wine.
Colleguial working atmosphere where freedom of speech is not guaranteed. Minorities are to be respected and thought of above everything else. You must be super careful to not say something, that the upper, morally weak management, thinks of being inappropriate, which is basically anything that offends their political agenda of "inclusivity". People suffer from that, and they know it. But the rules cannot be broken, or you are out.
Atheneum has a reasonably good image in order to ascend one's career ladder
Work frmo 9 to 6. Plus if you have to come from far away, you have to consider travel costs. Forget about doing much more aside from work.
If you work in sales, the changes in titles are really just, redundant. It won't get you much further into your career. Try to use Atheneum as a jumping platform, to something higher, better.
The payments could be a lot better, but it is in standard lines for a firm that size.
As said, cero concience over human welfare or the environment. They support a "plant one tree for every call" they make, but in reality that's the only "greenwashing" policy put into place. Why doesn't management go and plant the trees themselves? Too busy drinking wine, mate?
There are some sweet souls within the company that deserve better. They are the real MVP.
As said, there are some sweet, humane souls in there that deserve the best.
Bad. It really depends on your manager. But they are generally unexperienced, young individuals with much more to learn about life.
It is OK. The associates are exploited.
Non-transparent communication. Upper management has long forgotten the people of its company, dresses the value system of their company with a sustainable faccade of inclusion, and proceeds to indulge in wine (their office is literally, full of wine boxes) and look for investors. Profit overall, people second.
As said, inclusion policies mean exclusion. As soon as you put social rules into play, the natural interplay between the ethnicities, minorities and peoples is disturbed. Including these social rules or "values" really just signifies: "it is not OK how the world works naturally, we have to intervene because people are naturally racist", which goes against human morale & strength: we have indeed unconscious biases towards racism, it is naturally determined by our biology. We have yet to be strong and overcome them in search of our best self: the totality of all of us. The very fact that these "post-modern, neo-marxist" values are supported is exactly because, management believes people are weak, and uncapable of holding themselves accountable. Haven't we yet learned from the communist experience in the Soviet Union?? Read the gulag archipelago.
The tasks were OK, you are entertained for the rest of the day.
You can meet nice people here
- zero transparency-you never understand what happens in the company, even if you ask
- extreme favoritism- people in the same team with same level responsibilities get salaries with huge difference. Same years and level of experience are also rewarded differently if you unfortunately decide to apply for a role make sure to research what the salary level is for the role you have liked because they will for sure try to pay you much less and try to convince you that you will soon get a promotion or the bonus makes up for it -it doesn’t
- promotions are in terms of title only, you need to have 2-3 until you actually have change in responsibilities
- salaries are very low compared to the market salaries and salary increases are different for people depending on how much management likes you not on how well you have been doing your job
- no work-life balance: they will try to squeeze every last drop of energy from you every day and expect you to work over-hours. If you have a family or want to go to courses/activities after work you won’t be able to. Over-hours would not be compensated and the corresponding salary is definitely not enough for that
- the culture is not welcoming
They won’t act on any advice given anyway
Extremely stressful, definitely not worth the salary they offer. Management has 0 leadership experience and they are not open to changing that. Decisions are made top down and you can’t protest against that
Trying to create am image they don’t really live up to
You are expected to work over hours and if you don’t you are considered unmotivated. If you want to go to courses or any activities after working hours I can tell you you won’t be able to
The most This company can offer is a stepping stone to find a good hob afterwards, no outlook to progress here in a sustainable way. Zero trainings, people with 1,2 years experience become leaders and never get leadership trainings for example
Much lower than market salaries, if you are actually considering working here please research the market salaries as they will try to pay you much less
Never heard of any initiatives towards sustainability only the ones on the website which nobody has any info on, ask more detailed questions on the interviews and you will see that
You can find young ambitious people here however they won’t be staying long because the turnover is immense
Not many older colleagues as usually people with more experience leave super fast as they realize the things going on in the company are not normal and they won’t change because senior management doesn’t want to delegate decision making
Extremely limited mindset. Senior management doesn’t care about the people they are just a number to them and will be treated this way. Top down decisions
Cheapest options available in terms of hardware and software
Zero transparency, they hide everything from the employees. They believe they do not owe the employees any explanation for the decisions that are being made for the future of the company and changes to their everyday work responsibilities
No diversity plans, all diversity there is is pure coincidence. People are being paid based on how much senior management likes them not based on how well they do their job
Interesting projects
You are actually able to find a work/life balance. High performance culture, Development opportunities and challenging environment. People here are great. Supportive in general

Arbeitsatmosphäre ist in den letzten Monaten besser geworden. Man spürt, dass sich das Management Mühe gibt, Mitarbeiter im Unternehemen zu halten. Es wurden verschiedenen Initiativen gestartet um die Mitarbeiter zu engagieren.
Das Work-Life-Balance ist nicht schlimm, aber man muss manchmal Überstunden leisten (für die man aber zusätzliche Urlaubstage kriegt)
Die Arbeitskollegen in Atheneum sind unglaublich toll! Keiner wird sich hier einsam fühlen, auch nicht die Menschen, die aus einer anderen Weltecke kommen :)
Die Kommunikation mit direkten Vorgesetzten verursacht keine Probleme. Man kann eigene Ideen anbringen und auch umsetzen.
Wenn einen Verkauf interessiert, bereitet die Arbeit auch viel Spaß

- Sometimes a rather unstructured and stressful work environment. But this is in my opinion connected to the majority level of the company. However I always had the feeling the management cares about it and seeks constant improvement

Very dynamic team with interesting tasks. Excellent introduction to professional services industry and start up scene. Challenging projects and responsibility from the start. Great colleagues with diverse backgrounds. Experienced, high caliber management team. Very good exit opportunities to other jobs in the city.
Middle management is often inexperienced and top down. Top management focus is too outward looking and neglects internal challenges.
Atheneum employs very smart and driven people but the current company culture discourages initiative. Give employees a forum to voice their opinions and make them part of developing the firm. Create incentives for bottom up initiatives and take employee inputs seriously. Setting up a feedback loop will improve operational effectiveness and will make Atheneum a more fun place to work. Further, put more emphasis on people management skills (as opposed to ops skills) when promoting middle management.
