I applied for a position in the Quality Assurance department at Blacklane through an internal referral and completed several rounds of interviews. I was later informed that the company had decided to move forward with other candidates whose skills and experience more closely aligned with the requirements of the role.

However, I later learned that the role was given to the person who referred me, someone without any background in quality assurance, who was offered the position directly without even going through any interviews.

This is particularly puzzling given my 10+ years of experience exclusively in quality management roles. If that doesn’t align with the role’s requirements, it raises serious questions about how qualifications are being assessed.

The lack of transparency in this hiring process should be a concern not only for external applicants but also for internal employees. After months of actively recruiting for the role, bypassing the process entirely undermines trust in the company’s hiring practices.

Based on this experience, I will not be applying to Blacklane again.

Start with working on HR and improve your recruiting processes. If it takes 10 weeks to give people feedback, something is going wrong! No matter if Corona or not.This is not the way on how you generate trust or employer loyalty.If you can't deal with the amount of applications hire recruiter first or work with externals. Its a joke at the moment!

Der Bewerbungsprozess verlief professionell, relativ schnell und angenehm - keine Verbesserungsvorschläge.

Besonders cool war, dass man von Blacklane mit dem Fahrservice zum Bewerbungsgespräch gebracht wurde. ;-)

They should at least reject a candidate, not just leave them hanging for months after being promised a reply. Especially, when they reach out to the person via Social Media.

Das gesamte Interview wurde von mir als äußerst wertschätzend, authentisch und sehr interessiert an meiner Person wahrgenommen. Der Interviewer hat sich anscheinend fundiert mit mir und meinem Lebenslauf auseinander gesetzt, das war mEn herausragend.
Auch wenn es bei mir nicht geklappt hat, bleibt Blacklane in sehr positiver Erinnerung.
