aweful location, company itself is good

I have been working with Borealis for 12 years now. Let me tell you it is a good company. But the location Burghausen is just aweful. 2-3 years ago this location had three plants, one was sold to east europe. The workers were not fired, but their work hours were reduced to 35 hours a week and the payment cut accordingly. But that just resulted in a lot of overtime because the work actually was not reduced. This location is too small for new people so the ONLY way to get up to higher positions is by working on project on other locations. That means one is only physically present in Burghausen. The work is done for somewhere else. A lot of screen work or a lot of travel. If that cannot be achieved one is stuck to this location. In german they call it "Resteklauben" - picking up what is left by others. Seriously, don't go to that plant.

Real bad, everyone has to work against everybody else, a lot of competition results in bad atmosphere.
