Großraumbüro Nahe Ostbahnhof, It Zubehör wird gestellt.
Modernes Office, gute technische Ausstattung, interne Kommunikation, Weiterentwicklungsmöglichkeiten
normales Gehalt
Guter Zusammenhalt, tolle Kollegen.
- hohes Maß an Gestaltungsspielraum
Current working mood is marked by uncertainty. Nobody knows where Cluno as a company stands and what this actually means for the future. People worry about their job security. This causes competitions between departments in a negative way instead of supporting each other for the better cause.
In some Kununu reviews Cluno was described as a corporate instead of a startup. I fully agree with that. Politics is indispensable for cross-departmental tasks which obviously is not conducive for the team spirit in a startup.
Cluno sells itself very well to the outside world but on various well-known review platforms the individual facets come to light.
We have trust-based working hours, but I'm not really flexible in my own time management. The flexibility relates more to overtime and you feel like you're in a corset of a nine-to-six-job. Starting later and working longer or starting earlier and finishing earlier is very rare and, in my perception at least, not welcomed.
In addition, the ratio of the workload does not fit. While some colleagues "collect" a lot of overtime, others shutdown their laptops at 6 p.m. or enjoy their after-work beer on the roof terrace at 4 p.m. on Fridays.
No existing or planned projects.
Lately, the leadership has been explaining that Cluno doesn´t want to have a hipster startup culture with yoga courses or fresh fruits but Cluno defines itself more about personal growth and professional development. I am not quite sure if we have the right conditions for that at all and I have given up asking for training courses. In direct conversations you will be told that there is currently no perspective on the next stage of your professional career at Cluno. One should come to terms with this.
This is all about at Cluno. Many colleagues support each other. If management is involved, things are getting more complicated as they could be due to political conflicts. Unfortunately, this is why sometimes a false appearance is created. I didn´t hear anything about that there are problems within the teams or between them.
No problems as far as I know. But this isn´t something I consider as outstanding. This is a precondition in a professional environment.
Management philosophy is characterized by mirco-management. There is nothing to complain about your performance if you do your assigned to-dos without questioning or challenging them and I personally miss a honest kind of appreciation.
Political infightings at the management level, which are played out on the backs of the teams, is due to the fact that the hierarchical structure has not been carefully thought through. Decisions are either strictly based on bare numbers or personal interests by management or leadership. And of course, everything has high priority.
Nice looking office with good transport connections. Equipment is pretty basic. You can choose between Mac or Windows. No business mobile. Own workplace in open plan office. Home office regulations have been loosened during corona pandemic but I guess this won´t be a permanent situation.
It´s basically top-down and communication towards employee is very superficial. The company standup is rather a ego show than a platform for substantial and informational updates. The management is sharing almost only success stories to proof their right to exist.
Salary is ok, could be better or worse. Social benefits such as capital-forming benefits are completely absent. Salary increases were recently canceled even though they were initially promised for appropriate performances, which were demonstrably delivered.
Tasks given by management or troubleshooting for the most part. The initial idea of contributing ideas to improve the product as an employee doen´t exist. You are not part of developing a strategy but simply execute tasks. Progress is barely discernible and implementations take forever. It could be much more exciting if we would have a autonomous framework in our responsible areas and decisions-making.
Konzept / Idee hinter Cluno
- Künstliche Herstellung v. Hierarchie-Stufen
- Kommunikation
- Management & deren intransparente Entscheidungen
- Stimmung
- Team-Zusammenstellung passt in meinen Augen nicht
- Teamzusammenstellung besser planen
- Management & Head Ofs sollten harmonieren
Normale Ausstattung zum Arbeiten etc. alles vorhanden was benötigt
Keiner weiß wirklich, was der andere macht.
The only good thing here was that Cluno anticipated the Corona crisis quite early and took some measurements.
If you put people on short time work, do it in a solidary way. Don't use Corona to get rid of people in probation or to blindside "unliked" employees!
Don't try to "force" people back to the office if they prefer staying home and work remotely.
Exceptionally good in my team, because we took care of it ourselves. In general, the atmosphere mostly consists of mistrust, demands and stress. Cluno is becoming more and more a sales-led company instead of a product-/tech-driven one. It's not about the customer (although everybody says that), it's about selling/marketing cars. That leads to very few people (leadership, C-Level) deciding what's to be done instead of everyone contributing to the success of the company. Cluno behaves like a typical VC-fueled start-up, that is trying to make their investors happy.
Not that good among customers. There are many complaints about how complicated and restrictive Cluno is when it comes to handling non-standard cases. On the other hand, it got better overtime. Image is also really good in the automotive industry, where quite some companies are impressed by what Cluno is doing.
I had no issue with balancing work and life, but in other teams, the working hours are really high. Working overtime is implicitly expected and not appreciated in any way.
Promotions at Cluno are purely about job titles. If you're looking for a real career, you not gonna find it here. Personal development is completely up to you and whether your superior supports it. It is possible to go to conferences or workshops though, but budget is quite limited.
Exceptionally good in my case, really poor in other teams. So either awesome or under average.
Not existent. There's nothing being done in that area.
Due to the lack of proper leadership, colleagues are mostly really supportive and helpful. They stick together and try to make it work. Especially in my team, colleagues have been incredibly awesome. But there is also some bashing and blaming going on unfortunately, probably due to the high stress level in many teams.
No complaints. Very few colleagues above 50, but they are treated like everyone else.
With very few exceptions, leadership, C-Level and general management are seriously lacking both professional as well as people management skills. You can clearly see that general management has been working in the automotive industry for a long time. Very strong hierarchies, demanding instead of empowering, control instead of trust. No responses to emails/messages and no support with blockers in any way. Leadership is mostly taking care of themselves. The bigger Cluno got, the more this became obvious. Lots of politics going on. Cluno has no real vision, nor a strategy to execute a vision or someone trusted to come up with a strategy. Very disappointing experience.
State-of-the-art hardware, but the office is too small by now and really noisy. Cluno is supposed to be moving in June so that should be good.
Good efforts (weekly all-hands and show&tells), but nothing is really ever said in those formats. All teams feel forced to give a weekly update on what they are working on, which is barely relevant for others in most cases. It feels like having to justify for what is being done. Apart from that, general management gives motivational speeches that no one understands.
Not really. Random promotions, salary gaps and personal likings. At least 2 women in C-Level.
Working on a first-mover product in a new market is always interesting and challenging. However, given the circumstances, Cluno is super slow and it takes a lot of debating and politics to get features or improvements on the road.
Hire and Fire ist völlig normal
transparent communication, clear vision, fast development, many things to learn, motivated and experienced colleagues, high focus on doing the right things
great atmosphere, enthusiastic people with the same vision that love what they do
no high fluctuation, great place to work, stronger identification with the own product than in other comanies, I worked for
40h contract with trust working time; nobody is forced to work more, some still do as they burn for what they are doing
everybody can take ownership without complicated processes and will get recognition and promotion much faster than in other companies
competitive salary as Cluno wants to have the best people on board, not the cheapest ones;
some benefits, like train ticket, money for food, home-office, events, discounts, ...
nothing special
more feels like a family than colleagues; a lot of trust and a lot of fun during work
everybody is respected for what he does, and not judged on how old he/she is; still rather young people in the company
flat hierarchies, good open discussions; decisions are taken in the team, not from above
nice office, slowly getting to tight as more and more people join the company. This is also why we will move to bigger offices soon
constant improvement on that during companies growth; in general you can speak to everybody and you will be listened
multinational employees, many women in leading roles; everybody is respected for what he does, and not judged on where he/she comes from
I love what I do, the whole company tries to improve everyday which always brings new tasks and aspects
Challenging work with great teammates and support for personal development and growth
Honestly can’t think about anything
Compensation and regulation on work from home
A really good working atmosphere with ample learning opportunities
Everyone working here loves the company and believes in it and is working hard for its success
Good balance as we are never forced to put in extra hours of work so everyone is free to have their own time management
They are very much supportive of our personal development starting from training to conferences and technical talks. Really a good place to grow your career
I would say they are quite competitive with compensation but definitely should reconsider it as the market in Munich is definitely higher. But apart from that, there are quite a cool number of benefits like work from home, public transport ticket reimbursement, team outings, etc.
In my knowledge, we are not doing much in this regard
Definitely the best thing here which keeps you really motivated for work and a very happy and relaxed environment. There is a feeling of friendship for sure
Never was a problem for me
I can answer for my direct superiors and they are really helpful and think about us in an equal sense as the company
This could definitely improve as the company is growing really fast so we might need a more open office with more space
Really good communication and very transparent with all proceedings
Yes I believe no one has been discriminated for any sense whatsoever
The company is undergoing a phase of revamping so really exciting tasks to work on and opportunities to bring your ideas into the product
So verdient kununu Geld.
