Arbeitsatmosphäre

Cobrainer seems like it's following the trend of inflated tech start-up disasters that are currently going down. Fantastic idea, big dreams, big promises to people - but then no strategy, poor business execution, poor leadership and reactive micromanagement are sabotaging any attempts to reach a stable culture and financial success.

Kommunikation

The communication on the part of the management team is bad. It's immediately apparent that it is not well coordinated and, above all, that essential truths about important decisions, consequences and the company's sales performance are kept in the dark. Cobrainer certainly doesn't walk the talk as there have been way too many sketchy layoffs while externally promoting the great importance of retention and skill development.

Many lovely and bright people work here that support each other.

Extremely good. Untypical for a startup company.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

There is no safe commitment because the only constant is "let's change everything everyday". This is really damaging the product development. What makes it even worse is that the sales leadership is completely disengaged, while market traction is not building up. Instead of making any changes to the sales organization, the management promoted "everyone" and even in tech "needs to be sales" and then the entire marketing department was let go because they "performed too well unlike the rest of the company". It seems obvious which parts or people are underperforming but there is a lot of scapegoating and protectionism going on. As a consequence, a lot of people are fearing for their jobs.

Interessante Aufgaben

The product is good - yet has been suffering from the same bugs and missing features for a long time. The roadmap is ever changing and often without clear communication why. All change requests come from the management, there is no real place for people to influence the direction.

Gleichberechtigung

It's okay. There aren't any women in management positions.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

There is abundant skepticism towards more experienced and older colleagues. There are not really opportunities for advancement for long-serving employees.

Arbeitsbedingungen

Definitely the best part. Feels more like a 9-5 job in a big office with lovely people. State-of-the-art technology and software.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

There are quite a few attempts going in the right direction. LGBTQ awareness and support.
