Having a proper work-life balance is really encouraged within the company
Love the team atmosphere! Very collaborative and welcoming
The communication is timely and I am always in the loop about what is happening not just in my team but also company-wide
Nothing at all.
Everything.
Try to hire people for management positions with relevant experience and people skills. Have 1-1s regularly with employees to see how they feel about their job and what can be changed from both sides. The world doesn't revolve only around your managers.
For me it was the worst work atmosphere ever. There was mobbing from the first month. They don't want to teach you anything but they want you to do your job perfectly from the first day. If you make a mistake, you are done.
Oh they expect you to work a lot for a very low salary. The only good thing is you can work from home. When I was there they only had to go to the office 2 times per month. But this also has bad sides because they didn't even come on my first day to the office to welcome me. They didn't like going to the office so much. Maybe that's why they are not very good at communicating with other people.
Very very low
Zero team spirit. There were only 3 other people in the team when I joined. Everyone else was an enemy to them.
The worst behaviour I have ever received from anyone in my life. They mobbed and bullied me from the first month. I have always had (and currently have) great managers but the treatment I received from these people put me in a horrible mental state. It was a traumatic experience, but I am glad it only lasted 5-6 months because even 5-6 months gave me enough trauma for a lifetime. If I had stayed there longer, I don't know what my mental state would be at the moment.
Zero communication skills in my team. I had 3 more people in my team when I started. Two of them were like, managers, I guess? One of them was imppossible to communicate with and she barely replied to messages. The other manager(?) was quite rude, she swore at clients, got angry at other stakeholders, didn't like anyone else than herself, her manager, and the other person in our team. And the other teammate I had was very passive-aggressive towards me, she never wanted to have any onboarding sessions with me, constantly cancelled or rescheduled them and told me to basically practice and learn everything on my own. Zero 1-1s. They never ask you how you feel and how you like the new job or anything in that regard.
Zero interesting tasks. Just a bunch of repetitive boring tasks that can be easily automated. Probably will be replaced by AI very soon.
Super lovely office
you can always discuss with your supervisor on working times. Of course it needs to fit to our client needs, but there is always a solution
really transparent communicaiton about all level and hierarchies
sehr angenehm
sehr gut
tolles teamgefühl
herzliche und freundliche Kommunikation
Beautiful office, young and driven team, I appreciate the company's flexibility!
The more experienced you get, the more concerning salary becomes. My recent promotion to a higher role resulted in 50 eur extra every month (after taxes), which is a very comic amount of salary increase.
Also, I believe the company is missing experienced Team Managers. Most of the hard-working and actually smart people I met were working on hands-on tasks (content, data, platform managers), while Managers skillset is often questionable.
I would encourage to improve your internal promotions - whenever there is an open position, the priority should be to hire internally, and only then externally.
I find the overall working atmosphere positive. The team is very international and young, driven.
Pros: Possibility to work from abroad (few months per year), only 2 days per month are mondatory for the office work (team days). The core working hours are 10:00-17:00, you can decide if you want to start your day at 8:00 AM or later, eg 10:00 AM. I never had any problems of arranging my doctor appointments or leaving earlier if needed.
Cons: Some people find the core hours still too strict, same as coming to the office 2 days per month. It's not a work for people who are expecting fully remote job (the working model is hybrid).
Also, my previous companies were inviting people to volunteer, dedicating some hours monthly working for the NGO they want. For me, it was a very nice touch.
Pros: there are few hours a month that you can dedicate for self-learning, eg watching courses online or attending some workshops. Also, company sometimes introduces some new ideas that would support people in upskilling (for instance, internal educational tool called Academia).
Cons: there is no budget for your learning/development, so you can only access sources that are free. The possibility to grow in a company is very vague - you kinda have a development plan, but even if you achieve your goals, it doesn't mean you will get promoted to another role of another seniority level. Overall Seniority levels are very confusing.
The accounts I worked in were small to medium size and people were very supportive and collaborative. I did meet some people whose attitudes towards other people success was weird, but they were exceptions.
Cons: the average age of the company is young, we don't have any older colleagues, I haven't met any team member who would retire in upcoming 10 years.
Long working team members are not promoted easily, and even with promotion, the salary hardly changes.
Pros: the managers I worked with were overall nice people. Company is always improving their operational tools and templates, to make accounts work in more balanced way. Different models of managing are tested (for instance, accounts having Delivery and Client Manager instead of the Account Manager). You can see a lot of efforts put to improve.
Cons: the managers I worked with were, as I mentioned, nice people, however I have met very few really experienced and professional managers. My impression was that most of them had very similar skilset to me (working in non-management position), so to trust their opinion or respect their decision making was often difficult. Basically, the atmosphere is often "nobody knows anything, let's figure it out", cute - yes. Not professional though.
The office is located in central area of Berlin, beautiful building. Office is equipped with everything you need. People working from home are provided monitors, chairs, headsets and everything they need.
Pros: there are company meetings where all the team members gather together and share not only what is happening in different accounts, but also in the company overall (for example, how company is doing financially, what is planned..). I didn't have this kind of meetings in my previous jobs, so I appreciate the transparency.
Cons: I worked in different teams in this company, and they all had one issue - the lack of transparency between Account Managers and the rest of the team. You could always sense that they know more than the rest, and team will be delivered the news at the very last minute. Person got fired? Nobody knows why. Another colleague got moved to another team? Again, no details provided.
I think that for the career starters, the salary is fine. But with the time, once you develop your skills, get higher seniority, maybe even go to higher positions, your salary hardly changes. The longer you work in the company, the more problematic this topic becomes.
Pros: I haven't noticed any cases when women coming back after the maternity leave would be in disadvantage, at least on the surface.
Cons: I can't support it with any data, but I have a feeling that men are faste r to be promoted than woman in this company.
Pros: people often change positions, move from one account to another, so you can learn different tools. Also, services are very different in each account, so have a chance to develop completely new skills.
Cons: If you are working for several years in the same account, same role, you will get bored.
That I am getting paid on time.
No new clients, nothing exciting about future. Same old same.
Educate your managers. Do not promote egotistical people with no emphaty. Also why are there so many managers?
Fine if you keep a low profile, if you are ambitious you will have a lot of fights.
No image.
They have this internal Academy but I do not understand what they do. I would rather have my own stipend so I can improve myself but no, you need to learn what they wanna teach you.
Very low salaries. If you are a suck-up, you'll get promoted. Otherwise, do not expect any salary raises. We know the company and the managers do everything not to give any salary raise without a fight.
No cohesion.
There is not really older colleagues. If you stay in the company for too long, you won't get any salary raises. Loyalty does not mean anything. Newcomers always get more than the current employees. So you need to leave.
Horrible. Upper management is completely detached from the reality of what is happening in the teams. Mid management is chasing for KPIs all the time. They change the work you do so you have to do it again every time. They are not giving any constructive feedback. They expect everything from you but they give you no opportunities. We cannot simply do more work and get the same money.
Boring office.
We talk a lot about communication a lot but you can see that people are talking down on each other. Swear words, selfish and emotional comments are common.
Fewer and fewer projects coming in.
Nothing
Everything
Hire people with people skills for your management positions.
They expect you to work nonstop. It is a toxic environment where you don't want to be involved.
You don't have to go to the office and it is good because at least you can get mobbed not at the office, but at home, so you can cry in peace at home.
My salary was very very low.
The PM and AM in my team literally make fun of people with OCD by saying that they have "OCD." It is a mental health condition and not a quirky little personality trait. You cannot make fun of that.
My team was very rude to me. If they had a personal issue, it is certain that you will have hard time at work that day because they will bring their personal issues to work.
Very bad. Especially the AM of my team had zero relevant experience and zero people skills. She was talking bad about other coworkers and clients. She was almost impossible to reach and she never joined our daily stand ups.
They expect you to make zero mistakes from the start, with zero onboarding and zero documentation.
My team was literally talking to me and about other coworkes/clients with swear words. They were mobbing me and another coworker for making mistakes even though we were new.
Just repetitive, boring tasks.
All team members are so friendly and helpful! Processes are set up in a clear way so you can get onboarded quickly and effectively.
Man kann Karriere machen, den Mitarbeitern wird zugehört, außerdem unterstützt das Unternehmen seine Mitarbeiter bei gesundheitlichen Problemen und Schwierigkeiten.
Sehr freundlich
So verdient kununu Geld.
