Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Fleamarket, employee discount, colleagues sticking together

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Disregard of their own values, especially leadership standards

micromanaging, control, and distrust are our day to day life by now

to the outside they always want to make it look like everything is great, but on the inside the teams are crumbling.

We have an internal praising tool where you can praise people so that everyone can see it, this is used a lot by my teams management but real valuable feedback is never given, they just collected everything I ever did that they didn’t like and brought it up in the yearly performance dialogue.

Overall flaconi used to be the best employer when I joined years ago but I witnessed the downfall firsthand. There are other priorities now then making employees happy and that might be fair but then don’t claim that your highest priority is to retain people. It obviously isn’t.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

I tried to talk to HR and management for improvements but they didn’t listen, so I don’t think it makes sense to spent time on this here.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

Fairness and Trust used to be valued pretty high at flaconi but unfortunately with the current management these values are lacking a lot. The atmosphere is all about pressure, unnecessary urgency and saying yes to the most boring tasks you could imagine.

Kommunikation

There are regular meetings for the whole company and also on a team level. Communication isn’t really open and honest anymore. I see that some people are trying but in the end it leaves a feeling of not being valued with how the communication is done. Regularly words have to be taken back in the next all hands because they don’t think much about inclusivity in their communication and that we have a very diverse team where people are different.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

This is probably the only thing that got better but also due to failing leadership. At least between colleagues we stick together.
Well at least the people that stay, lots of good talent and leadership has also been lost within the last months.
Also there have been people hired who don’t really fulfill Flaconis values and are not qualified for the job because it’s hard to find new people. This is also taking a toll on teams.

Work-Life-Balance

It’s alright. I can work from home a lot. But due to failing leadership which loves to write messages in the middle of the night, or expects overtime, it made me think about work much more outside of my working hours than I would wish for. Obviously don’t do overtime, it’s not paid!

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Due to some decisions from top down I got new leads in my whole line of reporting and especially the once that have been installed afterwords are failing Flaconis values completely but seems like they can do whatever they like because the decision must have been good considering who has done them. But my direct manager and the one above are completely failing in leadership. We don’t have any interesting topics because they are not fit for the position. The mood is going down tremendously and they have no idea how to stop it. And their behavior within the Performance Dialoges have been the worst I have ever encountered. It went as far as writing passive aggressive comments and completely neglecting Flaconis way of giving valuable feedback.

Interessante Aufgaben

Not at all. Just administrative work, nothing modern and/or analytical anymore. Very strict division between data science/engineering and analytics especially in a financial way so that no analyst should be doing anything outside of this project manager roles they are making of analysts because it is not paid for. But it’s completely neglecting the diverse skillset we also have within analysts who would love to do more but when you are not paid for it, good for you that you are not doing it.

Gleichberechtigung

It’s hard to answer this. Because the info here is just looking at equality for women and I think flaconi isn’t doing too bad in this. But in general there is an issue with equality, for example you get paid better when you joined newly compared to being there longer.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

There are not really older colleagues in the Hauptquartier.

Arbeitsbedingungen

Would be nice to be able to actually choose the computer you want to work with.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

It’s e-commerce, so it’s rather greenwashing then really taking care of the environment.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

There are salary bands but they are not used in the correct way. We have lots of colleagues stuck at the beginning of the band which is absolutely demotivating. When you pay the bare minimum, people are doing the bare minimum but I don’t think management understood this at all. The person who comments here a lot to reach out to her: well I actually did, but she just send someone else explaining to me that this is how it is and nothing will be changed. They even told me that I would be earning more somewhere else, making me strongly believe that I should leave. Which is in direct contrast to what they also claim, which is that they want to retain people. Just one of this can be true though. It actually felt a lot like gaslighting and not at all considering what a lot of colleagues are actually talking about.

Image

From the inside it got a lot worse. Not sure how the company is seen from the outside, I think it’s a bit more positive.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

When you only have people above you with less experience and not much of a clue what they are doing, well then they obviously also can’t form a team and develop individual skills. There is some budget and time given for upskilling but tasks have a higher priority than upskilling. Carreer wise you can do alright when someone in upper management wants you to get into a higher position. Doesn’t really matter if you are qualified for the job then.
