Made many friends and had a great couple of years at FS. Still a work in progress though.
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
I really enjoyed the atmosphere on campus, working with so many positive young people and the chance to attend lots of events, conferences on campus, and training. There is a lot to gain at FS if you are open minded.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Very disappointing that faculty constantly feel they are better than administrative staff. This is a really old-fashioned mentally that is not healthy for the business.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
There really needs to be an investment in a better relationship with the Betriebsrat. This is an old-fashioned and fairly negative group of employees and creates a very bad atmosphere at staff meetings.

Some tension between older German employees and international younger staff. Language and cultural barriers. But over all very good atmosphere in teams

Communication has improved a lot in the last year after management took on feedback

A lot of connection between departments was lost during corona. Will take time to improve
Work-Life-Balance
Really short of staff, and lots of open vacancies, which results pressure and overtime for those in the team who are motivated. If you want to do a 40 hour week though plenty of people stick to their time sheets and do no overtime.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Big improvement in degree programmes since the restructuring in 2022.
Interessante Aufgaben
Mixed. Can be repetitive but lots of opportunities for new projects and international travel if you are motivated.

Excellent opportunities for women and parents. Majority of management are female

A real safe and stable company to work in with a lot of flexibility
Arbeitsbedingungen
IT is really poorly staffed and lacks expertise inspite of lots of money spent on hybrid tech that doesn't work.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Salaries are ok, but not amazing. Will never pay the same as a private company in the city. But fine if you are willing to sacrifice money in return for working with real people.

Excellent chance to get free or discount training. Not so many chances for career development but lots of chances for moving to different departents internally
