In Funding Circle we have recently started an initiative whereby we build bridges between our colleagues and Syrian refugees inviting them to cook together and to host dinners in our office on a regular base.
Every one of us who is interested in meeting new people while enjoying a delicious Middle Eastern dinner cooked by refugees is invited. The money the women get for cooking will help them sustain their families.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
People are the heart and beat of Funding Circle. We are 90 professionals, in a young, international and vibrant environment. We hang out quite a lot together. On a day-to-day we go out for lunch around Bergmannkiez (so many options!), every Friday we have our casual beer o'clock, and when the weather is nice we have lunch and parties on our rooftop terrace.
Being in such an international environment allows also build great friendships passed working hours!

Although it is a young group, the office would not be the same without our 45+, they are wise people with years of experience and for all those expats sometimes a parental support :)

Amazing. The office couldn't be a a better place. We are located in the heart of Bergmannkiez. The office has all facilities you could imagine: american style kitchen (including cooking area, ovens), also we have free fruit/coffee/cereal/juices/soft drinks & beer ;). Our laptops are handy and the rest of the hardware is aimed to be as wireless as possible

At the beginning of 2017 we onboarded an amazing team of high experienced managers who have done an amazing job communicating their goals, focus areas and success to the whole team and also at individual level.

FundingCircle is a very people driven company where culture, collaboration and team spirit matter. Therefore, the team is very international, colleagues are open and friendly, and the new management truly cares about their people.
Anyone who would like to try things out, take part into a purpose-driven business adventure and grow will get the opportunity in this company. Furthermore, the office is a fantastic space on a roof top with all commodities in one of Berlin's nicest area.

Without any doubt, FundingCircle has a great mission and a great product. It would be helpful to communicate more about it, internally and externally to embark anyone for the ambitious journey and make it a full success!

that they have picked the people they fired in a mass firing process without any social plan

Due to the big firing wave it is super weird being there - the atmosphere is far from being nice. They are trying with sponsoring parties and the like - but that only helps in the moment. They've been trying to introduce values, but this is actually all just a big show - nothing real behind - so be carefull

They still have a good image towards outside. People are still very loyal, although they have such treatment. This may be a matter of time.

There is nothing done in this education / training area. They always have promised, but never done anything, which makes it even worse.

Especially the old employees, who build the zencap company with all their efforts are still paid like it was a startup. they new entrees get much more compared and do not neccessarily have more experience. This makes appreciation even worse. super disappointing.

The colleagues are negatively influenced by UK FC Members unfortunately. And in this bad times want to save their job, which is understandable. In former times the team was absolutely great - when we had no such worries stabbing our backs.

Dramatically changed after Zencap merged with FC.

The office is new and super nice no doubt. They've invested a high 6 digit amount. But if the team had known that so many people we gonna be let go, they probably would have skipped the stylish office and had happily remained in schreiberhauer str.

Communication has gotten worse and worse - as there is little investment and structure here, which you need with such massive growth. Also unhappy people communicate less and worse...
Interessante Aufgaben
the interesting tasks are definitely there. Yet as everybody is so unhappy there right now, the attitude towards working there changed so much, that it also has a negative influence on tasks.
