Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Very nice colleagues... if you are young, dumb and like to have a good time with no money, maybe this company is fun for a couple of years. ;)

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

C-Level absolutely does not care about it´s workers and about the companys products. They could also sell toilet soap for all they care.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Take game artists seriously - it´s a game company for christs sake. Game artists are here to make games look good and are not a petting zoo to show your investors and shareholders. But whait... oooh, you fired almost all of them now.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

Nice colleagues...

Kommunikation

There was almost no communication between the art department and other branches of the company. Gamigos Game Art Departement felt more like an Alibi-Divison... because a real game company needs to have an art departement... even if your company only buys up other broken game companys and aqquire their licenses.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

The only thing that´s ok about this place - the colleagues are really nice. At least most of them - yes looking at you C-Level. The people from HR are really helpfull as well, except the constant changing of their superiors is a bit annoying. But most of them where terrible people, like so many of the superiors there - so no complaint there. Burn right through them.

Work-Life-Balance

You don´t have to work, if you don´t want to - nobody cares. But nobody seems to expect it from you for that kind of salary.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

If you don´t work in finance or are one of the (way to) many managers there, like football, drinking beer and or are "hahahaha - good joke, chief"-guy you are basically non-existent for them. And why - why are there so many, many heads of, managers and supervisors in this company!?!?

Interessante Aufgaben

You basically fix old games with no artistical vision, with old outdated software on an old used pc.

Gleichberechtigung

The act like they care. But I knew a couple of women, who worked for some time (talking years) there and rarely or barely got a raise, while their manly co-workers (especially the "hahahaha- good joke, boss"-guys) worked for like a year there and got quickly promoted and/or got the same salary as their female coworkers who worked twice as long there.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

Seemed ok. ;)

Arbeitsbedingungen

Basically you could hire a monkey to the work that I had to do there. C-Level wouldn´t notice it.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Abysmal salary and the promised raise turned out to be a joke.

Image

Well, the ratings here in kununu are very true to the real image of gamigo.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

In my case - They said at the beginning of my job interview, that I will learn a lot of new software and that I will benefit from specific training for certain software; like Popcorn FX, Serious Engine. This was the main reason why I took this job for that small salary.

But the reality then was; I sat around and had to figure out everything by myself because C-Level did not want to pay for my (promised) software training.

So instead of paying for a software training, that would had taken about 14 days they rather let me thumble around for months to figure sh*t out, how things work. Productionwise this kind of mindset makes absolutely no sense. But C-Level obviously did not care, if an artist makes an awesome fireball-fx in a couple of hours or creates a crippled, buggy fire-spark-fx in two weeks.
