A Company That Could Achieve More…If Only It Dared
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
The company itself does something good by producing quality products and pursues a socially responsible, or at least honorable, goal of providing as many people as possible with high-quality medical products. But at the same time, I feel stuck because the organization is so paralyzingly cautious. There are just too many managers, everything has to be approved by everyone, and yet nobody wants to make a decision. And when a decision does need to be made, it’s preferably implemented externally, so that someone else can be blamed if it goes wrong. Innovations mostly only come through new acquisitions. It frustrates me because, as an insider, I know the company could be so much better, it could achieve so much more, even lead entire sectors in terms of quality and innovation. Yet it holds itself back. It restrains itself, and I just don’t understand it. It makes me sad.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Uninspired Management Philosophy (always run after trends instead of taking the lead, use externals to be able to blame someone else in case it fails)
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Reduce Management overhead instead of actual workforce, reward loyalty, start innovate internally (there are many great people with ideas but internal R&D is shrinking and innovation is only coming from outside through acquisitions), stop relying on the same externals for 10 years and instead source these positions internally
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Within your team very good, as soon as you leave your team you'll have many "I'm not responsible" discussions instead of just solving the issue.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Very democratic (100 Meetings, no decision), tendency to rely on external consultants in IT instead of building own experts, top heavy organization (lots of managers and directors but the cuts always happen in the actual workforce which gets smaller and smaller)
Gehalt/Benefits
Under average compared to IT Sector in south germany
