Arbeitsatmosphäre

For me, COMO's way of working was a great fit! Based on the principles of a "self-learning" organization, COMO always highlights the importance self-reflection and personal growth. Instead of waiting for others to change something, every COMOnaut is encouraged to take ownership. Similarly, you are encouraged to learn to evaluate your work and performance for yourself. For example, if you make a mistake, that is okay, as long as you notice and reflect on it afterwards. One way this is done at COMO are weekly "Friday Notes", in which you take note of everything that went well -- or not so well -- in the past week. Your Friday Notes will be read by your direct superior, who acts as a guide and sparring-partner. That way, your direct superior always knows what is currently on your mind and can find ways to support you. At the same time, the Friday Notes should enable you to know for yourself when you did a good job, so that you are not always waiting for a tap on the shoulder, but instead are confident about your work even when no one notices. Of course, people at COMO still notice ;)

Kommunikation

Even in Covid-times, I got to see everyone's face once a day during a short standup, where everyone briefly shares what they are working on. Moreover, COMO has monthly "Throwback Thursday" sessions, where current financial metrics and important developments in every department are shared.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

This is one of COMO's greatest strengths, since the team consists of super inspiring, smart and friendly people. Everyone (regardless of their position) is approachable and will happily accept an invite for a coffee date when their calendar allows it. At COMO, I did not only meet colleagues -- I formed friendships.

Work-Life-Balance

My schedule at COMO had a great balance between work and free-time. Of course, working in Marketing means working with deadlines and deadlines can mean that you need to put in extra hours at times. But, overall, my working hours were always very respected and superiors regularly emphasized that it is important and totally okay to leave on time.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

My superiors at COMO were always super respectful and kind. In fact, when I decided to leave the company to pursue my Master's degree, every one was incredibly supportive and interested in my personal development beyond the company. I highly appreciate that.

Interessante Aufgaben

My tasks were exactly tailored to my profile and I always had room to say into which area I would like to develop. That means that I not only had interesting tasks, but that my tasks also changed over time, based on my feedback and personal development.

Gleichberechtigung

COMO is a diverse group of people and the managing board has an equal share of men and women. COMO is open to and respects people from all cultural backgrounds and, in almost 2 years, I have not once experienced any form of discrimination -- be it for one's age, gender, cultural background or sexual orientation.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

Being a start-up, most of COMO's employees are in their twenties or thirties, which means that there are few employees of a higher age. But every employee, regardless of their age, is treated with respect and kindness.

Arbeitsbedingungen

COMO has a beautiful, spacious office in Prenzlauer Berg and all the provided technical equipment works well.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

COMO's payment was always punctual and salaries lie at the market standard.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

COMO is always actively interested in allowing employees (and ex-employees) to grow and I learned a lot for my future career during my time at COMO. Moreover, I was given time off work to complete extra training in a field of my interest (which was related to work).
