Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that our process felt overwhelming.

Work samples and take-home assignments are an important part of how we assess fit and skills for specific roles, but we want to be clear: They are never used as actual contributions to our business. They exist solely as a way for candidates to demonstrate their approach and thinking in a realistic scenario taylored to Heyflow's needs. We have received thousands of applications, held hundreds of interviews with very talented people and need to understand their professional differences while always, without exception, sticking to German law regulations. Requested tasks never take longer than two hours to prepare and are purely fictional.

We understand that different candidates have different preferences and expectations for application processes, and we appreciate your perspective. Your feedback will help us continue to refine how we structure and communicate our assessments: We do our best to rather do Portfolio Reviews and live assignments whenever possible and suitable for the process.

We received over a thousand applications for the Product Designer role. In such a highly competitive environment, even very small factors can make a difference and providing detailed, personal feedback without having the first call is often not feasible. Since our application process only requires sharing a LinkedIn profile, I hope it felt like a relatively low-effort way to apply, while still giving us the opportunity to carefully review your background.

We experience a high volume of strong applications, and as much as we’d love to speak with everyone, that’s simply not realistic. Sometimes it comes down to small details, and someone else being an even closer match to what we’re looking for in a specific role.

Our salaries are above market standards and benchmarks. Since we haven't talked yet, we are not aware of your salary expectations and haven't shared ours, so we would be curious where this accusation is coming from. Liebes Talent,

ich danke dir für deine Bewertung und deine Ansicht auf unseren gemeinsamen Bewerbungsprozess. Dass du dir die Zeit genommen hast, bedeutet uns viel.

Es tut mir leid, dass der Prozess nicht so verlaufen ist, wie du es dir gewünscht hast. Auf unsere Account Manager Stelle haben sich innerhalb kürzester Zeit mehrere hundert Talente beworben – dennoch ist es mir wichtig, jedem einzelnen eine Chance und eine Rückmeldung zu geben. Jedes Profil wird gesichtet und auf unsere Anforderungen gematcht.

Natürlich arbeiten wir bei so einer Anzahl Bewerbungen (von Januar bis August 2024 insgesamt über 5.300!) auch mit Templates. Unsere Eingangsbestätigung erklärt den erwartbaren Prozess sehr detailliert, vom ersten bis zum letzten Interview. Unsere durchschnittliche Reaktionszeit auf Bewerbungen sind 4 Tage. Wie du siehst: Es fällt mir sehr schwer nachzuvollziehen, dass wir aus deiner Sicht in allen Bereichen eine schlechte Leistung abgegeben haben.
