Disappointing Manager

I did not interact with many people due to my short time there, but most colleagues, apart from the manager, were friendly and professional. Additionally, there was always easy and cordial communication with HR.

Poor communication from the team manager: During my exams, I informed my manager that I would need to reduce my hours temporarily and compensate for them later. However, at some point, my manager stopped responding to my messages entirely. Assuming he was on leave, I tried to figure out the owed hours on my own.
One day, I submitted a sick leave request through the portal. Later, I was unexpectedly contacted by the manager and told that my sick leave was not approved and that I had not fulfilled my planned hours. It turned out my manager had been working the whole time but had ignored my messages, even disabling read receipt!
Contract termination: Realizing that the situation won't work, I suggested ending the contract during my probation period. When I went to the office expecting a discussion with HR, the manager simply handed me a termination letter in a cold and dismissive manner. After signing, he immediately asked for the company laptop. Since I hadn’t expected to return it that day, I told him I could bring it from my home nearby. In response he warned me that "it would not be good if the police arrested me at the airport for taking the laptop."

Hiring Process: The hiring process took a long time (3 months), despite requesting an earlier start to buffer some hours before the exam period. This delay made it difficult to manage work and studies effectively. I asked for contract termination very quickly.
