Position Summary

As a Sensory Evaluation Intern, you will be a member of the Sensory & Product Experience Team at NPTC Nutrition & Health. Your role will be to support the Sensory Specialists in running sensory evaluations with trained tasters and to recruit and train new expert tasters.

A Day in the Life of a Sensory Evaluation Intern

• Lead the recruitment, screening, and training of new expert panelists under guidance of a sensory specialist
• Support the Sensory Specialists in planning, preparing, and running sensory tests with sensory panels according to best practices
• Support the Sensory & Product Experience team in various activities related to sensory & product research

What will make you successful

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Sensory Science, Food Science / Technology, ideally with focus on sensory evaluation and/or consumer research
• Good understanding and first operational experience (academical or professional) in sensory analysis techniques and their applications
• Operational experience in sensory panel moderation is a plus
• Passion for sensory evaluation & product tasting and readiness to participate in tasting sessions, including dairy-based products
• Good knowledge in statistics
• Computer-literate (Microsoft 365, dedicated technical software)
• Fluent in English and German
