Your responsibilities

• Preparation and reporting of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB
• Management and development of the German accounting team with 4 direct and 2 indirect reports
• Reporting to the British Headquarter
• Cooperation with the Group functions at headquarters and the Shared Service Center as the first point of contact for accounting in Germany
• Ensuring compliance with accounting guidelines
• Optimization of accounting and reporting processes
• Central point of contact for internal and external auditors
• Responsibility for monthly accounting
• Collaboration with the finance teams on mergers and acquisitions

Your profile

• Completed business studies with a focus on controlling or accounting or training with further training as an accountant
• Professional experience in accounting (preferably in an international company)
• First management experience in accounting
• Knowledge of accounting in accordance with HGB and IFRS
• Experienced with MS Office, primarily with Excel
• Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Oracle Fusion
• Communication skills, assertiveness and strong problem-solving skills
• Good knowledge of German and English
