Deine Aufgaben

A Snapshot of Your Day Join the Scalable Core team as an AI Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the platform that supports Siemens Energy’s agentic software development lifecycle. You will engage in hands-on platform engineering while collaborating closely with development teams as a Forward Deployed Engineer, translating their needs into reusable services and automation. You will help implement the agentic way of working on real projects, gaining insights that will enhance the platform and its blueprint. With the support of experienced colleagues, you will grow towards owning capabilities and leading engagements independently, making a significant impact on our mission.

  • Help shape and deliver the platform that underpins Siemens Energy’s agentic software development lifecycle by translating delivery teams’ needs into reusable services, APIs, and self-service capabilities.
  • Implement essential capabilities such as token budgets, consumption tracking, automated onboarding, LLM routing, and management of agent personas and skills.
  • Support forward-deployed engagements by embedding with software engineering teams, configuring tooling, coding agents and guardrails, and building proofs of concept under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Advance harness engineering through context, tool integrations, execution environments, evaluations, and feedback loops that enable agents to operate reliably within defined boundaries.
  • Write, review, test, and ship production code using AI coding tools like Cursor and Claude Code, ensuring the correct application of guardrails and supporting reliable platform operation.
  • Capture lessons from real projects to enhance the platform, blueprint, and developer experience while developing your ability to scope and run engagements independently.

Dein Profil

  • A master’s degree in computer science or a related field, with at least 5 years of professional experience in full-stack software engineering and a minimum of 2 years in AI-assisted/agentic software engineering.
  • Strong programming fundamentals with flexibility across languages; experience with a statically typed language such as C#, Java, or TypeScript, as well as CI/CD and cloud-native development, is a plus.
  • Practical integration experience connecting systems through APIs or data pipelines, with an understanding of challenges beyond your own code, including authentication, dependencies, and error handling.
  • A systems understanding and curiosity about design trade-offs, such as message queues versus synchronous APIs or relational versus NoSQL databases, along with an interest in reusable platform capabilities and developer tooling.
  • Curiosity about and hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot, and an interest in agent workflows, context, skills, and evaluations.
  • A willingness to embed with teams, learn quickly, and deliver in short cycles, complemented by a collaborative, hands-on attitude, good communication skills, and growing ownership; fluent English is required, with Spanish being a plus.
  • Must be based in Portugal or Spain (mandatory).
