Nothing. I regret to have taken this job. I don't want to change again so quickly because it would look bad on my cv.
The management.
Hire and fire principle.
Change the manager. Instead of firing people the board should replace him with someone who can actually plan a strategy.
It used to be very nice. After the manager decided to save himself by reducing costs (=this year we had the first rounds of layoff) everything feels uncomfortable and unsafe. Nobody speaks up anymore.
Nobody knows us. I'm new to this industry but I don't think we are known anywhere.
Only if you take it. If you want to finish your work, since there is too much to do, you have to stay late. If you don't do overtime you'll be asked why your project is not ready yet. Lot of pressure. Also the ceo is calling us back to the office. First one day, then two. It will be more soon i think.
There was a budget. It has been cancelled. I was told by colleagues that have been year longer that money has been wasted a lot in the past.
Under the market average
None. Sustainability is one values of the company but they don't even recycle.
Finger pointing, gossiping etc. It wasn't this way before but now it feels like everyone is the enemy and could steal your job.
Not really relevant.
Lies, lies, lies. They promise no retaliation if you speak up, but the last 3 people that spoke up have been fired. That's why i never speak up. I also believe the anonymous surveys are not anonymous.
The office is disgusting. It seems nice at first but the kitchen is full of expired things, the coffee machine is moldy and we don't get water bottles anymore. The fruit is always old. There is another company in the building with way better conditions and things and you can see the difference.
The CEO loves to talk and to describe himself as transparent. In reality, he is always planning who he will fire next. Nothing he says can be trusted.HR is on his side and does nothing to protect the employees.
The ceo is very nice to HR, no matter the gender. Everybody else gets more and more pressure.
The upside is that we get to work with AI a lot. The downside is that the product is uninteresting and that the manager believes AI can do everything and he doesn't need us.
