Arbeitsatmosphäre

Really nice office in the heart of Berlin, over 200sqm of office space including an exhibition room called Connectivity Space, meeting rooms, open space and kitchen (big selection of nice drinks for free). New working equipment, modern set of digital tools and way of working. Besides, there was a good and respectful working environment and strong cohesion among colleagues and managers (flat hierarchies). A lot of initiatives to involve staff in decision making/strategy process but also to engage in fun activities, e.g. debate club, book club or game nights on Fridays; management joined tgif-get-togethers and organized company events. Also there was a monthly team health survey, where we could give anonymously feedback about any work related issues, results and ideas for improvement were discussed in monthly meetings.

Kommunikation

In my team communication was good as well as the cooperation with C-level management. However, cross-team communication and alignment can be improved sometimes.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Colleagues stick together and support each other, also in tough times. Additionally, very respectful interaction with each other.

Work-Life-Balance

Work-Life-Balance is written in capital letters in comparison to other companies, things like remote working, flexible working hours, realistic goal setting, great understanding for child related issues such as pickups from school or sickness, sabbatical option, good relationship among colleagues etc. made it overall a nice working environment.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

There were monthly company updates on the goals and development of the company by C-level and upper management, including Q&A sessions, where achievements and challenges were openly discussed. Additionally, there were initiatives, such as the end-of-year strategy days where everyones input on team and company goals and strategy was required, in order to review, iterate and approve it. Addtionally, there was a C-Level office hour on Fridays where all employees had the chance to book a meeting and have a feedback or Q&A session. In general there was an open door mentality and hierarchies were flat - you could approach management in the office (almost all of the them showed up in the office twice per week), slack or schedule a meeting anytime.

Interessante Aufgaben

Everyone was encouraged to come up with ideas on how to improve processes, the products, etc. and had the chance to execute these; originally it was organized in work cells, you also had the chance to work cross team on projects. In general, very interactive and modern way of working with varying tasks, no repetitive and boring routine work.
