Landpack was, when I was there around 2017, more of a Startup family than just a job. Because of that, the atmosphere war very positive. The reason why I klicked 'recommend' below and why I still love Landpack, is atmosphere-related: The amount of growth and responsibility-opportunities the bosses offer is incredible. If you are willied to perform and are ambitious, you will certainly get rewarded with trust and freedom. Although I was rather young when working at Landpack, I got transferred much responsibility and my recommendations for improvement were taken very seriously. This made me grow a lot! It didn't matter who you are or how experienced you are, it mattered how good and passionate you are.
The company is represented positively in the media.
I think this and the point below are critical elements, where Landpack as a Start-Up is very different to bigger or older firms. This, I guess, is the major concern of the less happy ex-employees.
I see the work I do for Start-Ups more of a personal project than 'just a workplace'. They require much more passion and time, than your typical 9 to 5 office job. But they are also much more rewarding in terms of social closeness, seeing how your hard work pays off and responsibilities you get.
So yes, I did work a lot and at the time I was there, but everyone else did the same. It was like our common project, we all wanted to see it succeed. This was a very fun thing to do, so working much definitely paid off! I learnt so much due to this by being active in every departement possible. This is a chance to learn I got in no other job I have seen so far- I sometimes helped producing, did QM, did Marketing etc. what helpes me today to understand the needs perople in other departements have better.
So yes, work-life balance is a 3/5 at maximum because I worked rather long, but I enjoyed it and it was never exploited by Landpack.
Again, as stated above: Landpacks biggest offering! If you are willed to learn, you will learn a lot. The bosses are both very experienced professionals and very open-minded. If you wanted to, you could shape Landpack a lot and use all the skills you have.
Since the company is a Start-Up, the payment was rather average. This was the same for everyone, so it seemed fair to me.
The product is -truly- eco-friendly, there is no greenwashing here. It feels great, and I always loved working for such an amazing product.
This was the teams' biggest strength! Everyone was very supportive and helping. I never saw so many that hard-working young people in other employment settings. Although the team changed once in a while, I never experienced personal conflicts.
For this, the same as above applies. The founders are very engaged in their idea, it is really important to them. This is why, atleast I think, they also expect much passion for it from the employees.
Because it is a personal project, not just some company they represent. This causes them to give a lot of feedback- positive and negative. Although negative feedback can be frustrating, it is a necessary component of improving yourself. I learnt a lot from this feedback culture, but you need to be open for it and open for growing. But it is definitely worth it. The other point others have mentioned, that the bosses are not always physically present, is the reason I gave 4/5. I understand why (they have a family), but there are ways to solve this. As stated above, usually they were reachable via phone almost always, so it was not a big problem for me.
The office is rather small, but very charismatic. Everyone got a computer, we had a working mobile and it is located next to beautiful corn fields.
Since the team was rather small, around 10 people, we usually could speak quickly in person with each other. If the bosses were not around, they were reliably reachable via phone. There was no weekly teammeeting with everyone around, which would sometimes have been helpful to coordinate a little better, which is why I give 4 Stars.
As stated above, you have the opportunity to learn and support almost all departements.
Cares about us. Friendly and warm. A great mentor and a great teacher.
Sometimes has a too high expectations for other employee (I just heard it but personally I didn't experience it). Super busy, therefore hard to reach.
Tidy up the working space. Hire people to fill non-existing departments. Be more patient even when an employee doesn't meet your expectation.
Working in Landpack changed my perspective about how working should be. I was an intern from Indonesia and they made me feel like I'm home.
Some employees had a bad image about this company while I experienced a different thing. For me, it was delightful to work in Landpack. Yes the employer has a high expectation from you, but it helps you to improve yourself.
I was given the day offs I was promised. Got the chance to travel Europe while doing intern there. You must work hard to finish your projects because this is a startup company. Personally for me the work life balance is 60:40 but it is my decision and I have no problem with this because this improved my skills a lot.
Landpack opened career path for me by offering me to come back and work for them and I am definitely coming back to do thesis over there next year and after I finished my study I would love to work full time for them. This is a huge opportunity given by Landpack to work together with them to provide environment friendly products for this world.
I was given the opportunity to work extra for extra money. Very thankful for this opportunity so I got the chance to travel Europe and bring gifts for my family. The payment itself always on time and the amount is fair to me.
Their products are made because they care about the environment. The location of the company itself also surrounded by nature.
My colleagues were very friendly and they truly cares for me. I was an intern but they didn't look down on me and they taught me a lot of new skills and knowledge.
Most of the employees are rather young so I can't say much about this. But I can say there was one workers who's been working there for the longest time and the employer treated him like a friend.
At first I thought my supervisor gave impossible tasks but after a while I realized it helped me break my limit. The gave me tasks based on my capability (he observed it) and when I was stuck with my task, he discussed and guided me through it.
The working space is not that spacious, although it is understandable because they were relatively new startup company. When I was there, I can see how they are trying to make it more comfortable by buying more tables and comfy chairs due to the increase of employees.
Communication between employee is easy while to my supervisor is rather hard to find the time but it is understandable because my supervisor is the CEO and he has a lot other things to do. But once he has the time, the communication flows smoothly and warmly.
From what I saw, they treated men and women equally.
Since I was an intern, I was given varieties of interesting tasks from many fields. It was quite challenging but rather fun.
Hier müsste man in Zukunft schneller reagieren.
Dadurch lernt man sehr schnell sehr viel.
