Management is completely untrustworthy. There is no "HR", so assuming there is will result in you being backstabbed due to a conflicted loyalty.
This is really a case where management believes that they know all, while they simply bumble around working on intuition and personality contests. It's a venomous office.

The only kind of feedback in this company is negative. Even if you are successful, you will receive no credit for pulling off successes.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
There is really no one you can trust here outside of the person sitting next to you daily. That might not even be workable. My IT group was good, but outside of that office, the managers will seem very friendly right up until they stab you in the back.

They will try as hard as they can to get you to put your life into this company. They can’t force you, but if you don’t, you won’t last long.

The machinery you work on in the lab will likely be older than you are, and the imbecilic demands of the management violate every rule of IT common sense there is.

Women are treated equally badly by management. There are certain races whom managers are advised not to even bring in for an interview, because they will be rejected by the top management (I have copies of emails specifically stating this).

The firm tends to hire younger people, because they don't know they're being cheated on salary.

The heating and AC work. Most of the toilets work. One took several months to repair.

Other companies in the industry know that this is not a good place to work. The company is rapidly losing face in the industry, and customers are beginning to migrate away because of it.

The only managers who cared enough to budget for their employees to be properly trained were fired.
