Metalshub offers a very nice and friendly atmosphere. From my point of view, the company culture is characterized by openness, transparency, and flexibility, and it is a very human place to work. My colleagues are great, as part of the recruitment process ensures we evaluate both professional profiles and cultural fit.

I would say it is the most transparent company I have ever worked for. We have weekly Friday meetings where we get company updates and learn about team priorities for the upcoming week. We also have a knowledge-sharing calendar where we can learn about different topics from our colleagues. Once a quarter, we have a Strategy Day featuring a deep dive into our product and company updates. On top of that, the founders and leadership team are very approachable.

Work-Life-Balance
There are also noticeable inconsistencies in remote work policies. Developers are allowed to work mostly from home, while many other employees are expected to come to the office three days a week, which creates frustration and a sense of unfairness between departments.

Ich arbeite im Vertrieb und bin sehr zufrieden. Die Unternehmenskultur ist stark unternehmerisch geprägt, was mir viel Freiraum bei meiner Arbeit gibt. Besonders positiv ist das großzügige Vergütungsmodell, durch das ich mein Einkommen direkt beeinflussen kann – wer gut verkauft, kann viel verdienen. Außerdem habe ich hier die Möglichkeit, stetig zu lernen und mich weiterzuentwickeln. Die Gründer sind sehr inspirierend und fördern eine offene, kreative Atmosphäre, in der jeder seine Ideen einbringen kann.“

Great atmosphere to work in. Young and motivated team all striving to revolutionize one of the least digitized industries in the world. Having the flexibility to work at home or in the office, I always enjoyed going to the office because of the amazing collaborative spirit on site. Company goals are structured in Quarterly/Annual OKR's, which make it very effective to understand the specific targets to work towards.

Naturally, the work ethic in start-ups tend to be both demanding yet rewarding. Metalshub does a great job in combining the best of both worlds to provide an environment for flexible hours and home/office policy while focusing on more tangible outputs rather than "face time".

The experience with supervisors was extremely positive across the board. Since Day 1, I enjoyed learning from the very experienced management team about the many facets of both the commodities and software business and always enjoyed being part of their inspiring vision. They were always fair and reasonable in their expectations, and were very supportive of my professional development. I always felt like I could approach them with any questions or concerns, and that they would listen and provide helpful feedback.

Sufficient office space with many tables and "open desk" policy. Fun room for playing kicker and hosting team sessions, creative room for encouraging conversations and a focus room to concentrate if needed. Hardware is provided.

The communication was always clear and responsive and open channels of communication, both with colleagues and with supervisors are continously promoted to encourage an open feedback culture. I never had any trouble understanding instructions or feedback, and I always felt that my concerns were heard and addressed in a timely manner.

Instead of only being a specialist and being "bound" to a specific function, I enjoyed the supportive culture for proactive action to make an impact in various parts of the firm and collaborate with different teams to work towards the common goal of becoming the #1 supply chain solution for the metals industry.
