Team collaboration
No time wasted in unnecessary meetings
Yearly get-together in the headquarter in the UK
Good office equipment
A mission you can get behind: sustainability
Micromanaged feeling, for example when you have to ask your doctor for an attendance note to hand in to your lead to explain your absence.
No flexibility for office days, Mondays and Wednesdays are fixed and so are the working times
Unclear career paths and promotion rounds
Insufficient benefits
Introduce more relevant benefits for the employees to increase employee satisfaction. Encourage employees to enroll in training. Make promotions and career growth more transparent.
When unexpected redundancies happened, management announced there would be initiatives to increase team morale. 2 months later, no updates about any of these initiatives have been shared. Generally I enjoy my time at work, but it's not the type of place to stay for many years and plan your future in.
On office days, almost everyone leaves the office right on time and anyone doing overtime is asked why they are still there. It's clear that you are not expected to work overtime - deadlines can be pushed. If you do work at an event after hours, you get to take this time off.
Career paths or possibilities are not clear and not discussed. When you do get promoted (which thankfully has happened) it comes as a surprise. Promotions also occur randomly throughout the year, adding to the intransparent nature of decision-making and uncertainty. I wouldn't recommend staying super long at this place.
MPB pays below average. When they do pay you an average salary, you're probably one of the better paid members of your team, which holds you back for raises as the rest are more in need of one.
There are really nice people in the office and generally when topics get presented, people react enthusiastically. This creates a very supportive atmosphere. The colleagues make working at MPB enjoyable.
I don't actually have an example of this as everyone is fairly young.
The office building struggles in summer. We've gone for a while without an office manager which has had a direct impact on the quality of the office (broken coffee machine, missing fire trainings)
Missing communication about how promotions are decided, no talks about career progression. The career framework with differences between job levels is not actively shared and even treated with a level of secrecy ("your job level isn't high enough to have access to this document).
There are lots of women in higher positions.
Ideas are welcomed and depending on your manager, there is a lot of freedom to execute them without having to go through a whole sign-off process.
Tolle Lage.
Sich an eigene Vorgaben zu halten wäre schon mal ein Anfang. Ehrlichkeit wäre bitter nötig.
Viel Stress
Eine Schlagengrube.
Sagen das eine und machen was anderes. Ehrliche Worte wirst du hier nicht finden.
Das eine wird gesagt, dass andere wird getan.
