Dass trotz starkem Wachstum (global mittlerweile vierstellige Mitarbeiterzahl) noch immer versucht wird, so gut wie möglich die ursprüngliche Vision des Firmengründers zu leben und die Freude an der freien, kreativen Arbeit in den Mittelpunkt des Arbeitsalltags zu stellen.

Das Gehalt ist insgesamt gut, für die Energie-Branche scheint es mir jedoch unterdurchschnittlich zu sein. Das macht diese außergewöhnliche Arbeitgeberin mehr als wett mit einer einzigartigen Unternehmenskultur voller Vertrauen in und Unterstützung für die einzelne Mitarbeiterin, um dieser zu ermöglichen, mit freiem Rücken ihre beste Arbeit für die Kundschaft zu leisten. Important and urgent news are communicated immediately to the entire team via ad-hoc meetings or email. An internal “Berlin Newsletter” is prepared and published biweekly to which everybody can contribute with her/his achievements during the last period and plans for the next two weeks. Next to that, a meeting with the entire team is being held frequently for discussions and for topics which need a presentation. In addition to this local communication, the Berlin team is invited to web sessions hosted by the mother company in Austria in which technical, administrative or business topics are being presented and discussed.

Definitely one of the excellent aspects about OMICRON is that you as an employee are able to create your working day as per your individual needs. There is no written rule about when to do your work. One can work at times that are best for you and your productivity. It's sure no 9 to 5 job! Whenever there's need to work from home because of private reasons the company will support you in doing that.

Nothing to complain about here. Of course we are all in for the money so getting more is always nice but working for an employer will always be less compared to being an entrepreneur (which is associated with a lot of financial risks as well). So don't kid yourself and expect millions, for what that you'll have to play the lottery.

There are mainly two teams in the company which focus on the same topic but viewed from different angles. The collaboration between both teams is working as is should and the results are productive.

In OMICRON one has no supervisor or boss like in most companies. Instead OMICRON is using its coaching structure, which is very similar to what a sports coach would do. Nobody is telling you what to do and what not to do, your coach will guide you with his strategy, but at the end of the day the game (or the work) has to be done by you.

Newest office hardware, if something is missing OMICRON will make sure that the employee will get the right tools that are needed for the work.

Like in every other big(er) company there are some minor issues when it comes to communication. There are some improvements that have been implemented but there's also more room for improvement. However the company is working on arising issues right away and not trying to sweep things under the carpet.

At OMICRON one works in processes not in departments. Having said that, it means that there is almost no barrier of what you can do or not. Of course the employee should focus on the main processes that are associated with the individual positions but left and right of that one can explore all kinds of different and interesting other tasks.
