Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Having worked here for some time, I can say that you only truly understand how a company operates after more than just a few months, however after more than half a year you get a clear picture. Unfortunately, in this case, the picture that emerged over time has been deeply disappointing. While there were positive aspects in the past, the company’s handling of ongoing salary payment difficulties has been disastrous.
Internal communication about this issue (starting with delays end of 2024 and then affecting a majority of February salaries (only a limited percentage of the salary was paid - and that months late) and continuing through to now (August)), has been either almost non-existent, evasive or simply promising things that then didn't materialise. The unwillingness to acknowledge the inability to make salary payments in the longer run, as well as the unwillingness to take action in terms of making this official and allowing staff to at least get any kind of payment in insolvency proceedings (which the company claims it cannot do as it is not insolvent) in a transparent way is extremely difficult to accept.
Additionally, no official communication on when the outstanding salary payments would be made, has been received since leaving the company.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

None that have not been given in other reviews before.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

While the work atmosphere may have been better in the past, since the start of the payment problems in autumn/winter 2024 it has significantly worsened. Staff have been fearful of receiving salaries late or not at all, struggling with the uncertainty of paying their own bills. I completely lost trust in the company and its leadership.

Kommunikation

Communication - especially during the ongoing payment crisis – has been disastrous and severely lacking. Critical information about delays in salary payments was initially delivered late, often leaving staff in the dark about when they would be paid. When updates were given, they were inconsistent and frequently contradicted by later statements or actions/in-actions. This lack of clarity not only created uncertainty and stress but also destroyed any remaining trust in leadership.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

The team spirit among colleagues was fine in principle, but ultimately it became impossible to achieve goals. Multiple projects were put on hold because the company failed to pay the external partners we were supposed to work with. This made collaboration frustrating and demoralizing.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

I cannot highlight anything positive here. Communication has been lacking, and even top management was unable to provide advice or information that staff could rely on. Promises were made repeatedly from the end of 2024 onwards, and repeatedly broken. While there was no micro-management, I would not describe what I saw as good management at all.

Arbeitsbedingungen

The office was not set up in the way you would expect from a modern business environment. Internal tech support was excellent, and the ability to work remotely was officially allowed. However, certain leaders made it very clear they would prefer to see more people that live in Munich in the office. If everyone had complied, there would not have been enough adequate workspace anyway.

Gehalt/Benefits

While salaries were above average, this is meaningless if payments are not made on time or at all for months at a time. There were no additional benefits you would expect from a modern company. Leadership made it clear that, as a family-owned company, they did not see the need for such benefits. In their view, flexibility, remote work, and interesting projects should be enough.
