Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

dealing with criticism, communcation and organisation

Arbeitsatmosphäre

depending on the department you work in and who you work with, motivation is at an all-time low. there are colleagues who are under constant pressure and cannot defend themselves against it, which has a massive impact on morale and health, especially in chronically understaffed departments.

even if you don't belong to these departments, you hear a lot about problems and motivation through cooperation and personal exchange, which also feeds doubts about the meaningfulness of your own work and reveals the omnipresent chaos in communication.

Kommunikation

the communication of really company-relevant topics, which should be a guideline for all employees, is practically non-existent. it is the order of the day that communities of interest form in order to define their own goals and to do this regardless of all colleagues who are significantly involved in the introduction or maintenance and who also constitute their actual area of responsibility.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

i would have given this place more stars a few months ago. however, due to many new colleagues from different cultural backgrounds and in view of last year's layoffs, cohesion must first be found again. certain core teams nevertheless stick together and support each other. within individual teams, cohesion is much stronger than it is company-wide.

Work-Life-Balance

for me personally, the work-live balance is quite good, because you can arrange your working hours completely freely throughout the day. however, you are also always dependent on the planning of others, which can of course lead to restrictions. however, it also depends very much on the department, because overtime is quite a normal for other colleagues.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

I had the pleasure of having one of the best team leads. the only thing that can be blamed is that they are drawn into bureaucracy and communication chaos to such an extent that they can hardly focus on their core competencies. unfortunately, it is far more common in middle management to find people who are completely unsuitable for their job because they neither understand the processes nor take responsibility for their team.

Interessante Aufgaben

many colleagues complain about laborious manual processes that should not exist in a fintech company. however, in the absence of good leadership, these problems have been ignored for years, resulting in technical debt that take a lot of effort to reduce and prevent individuals from developing and growing.

Gleichberechtigung

whoever fits into the company is treated equally, regardless of their origin. it often happens that entire meetings are held in english because 1 out of 10 participants cannot speak german, which is first of all a good sign for inclusion. but this often leads to tough conversations and misunderstandings, so it is more and more often not efficient, which is rather unfavorable in view of the constant lack of time. for this reason, english-speaking employees are not invited to some meetings but informed afterwards.

Arbeitsbedingungen

the work equipment is very good, but since mobile office is the standard, the employer doesn't have to worry about workplace regulations in the home office anymore. however, other employees used to get office chairs and monitors to use in the private work environment. there have been better times. The company is just moving into a new modern office and there are rumors that the mobile office era will soon be over.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

social awareness definitely deserves more than 3 stars, because in the past social commitment was taken so seriously that a team was created specifically for this purpose. however, there are several points that completely destroy what was actually a good approach. one is the way criticism from employees is handled, which is no longer taken seriously at all. you're lucky if anyone still listens. on the other hand, benefits such as mobility budgets were cancelled without replacement, although a replacement was promised. the most antisocial thing, however, is the exclusion of employees from the tax-free flat-rate energy bonus. some employees were not paid this bonus because they had already resigned, but they were still employed at the time of payment. their previously good work performance and their additional energy costs in the home office obviously no longer mattered, which shows how little colleagues who resign are still valued.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

the salary structures are very different, also within the departments. Sometimes the pay is very good, but sometimes it's very bad. the additional achievements however are quite strong. Support for surviving dependents, financial support for home office and the tax-free energy allowance are good benefits.

Image

there are many colleagues who have been with the company for many years and who are now leaving of their own accord, which shows the current poor image. how the new colleagues view this remains to be seen.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

i've always had enough time for private training, and there's also extra vacation time for it. there's also training on topics that help the company move forward. but there was never a budget for professional training for me, and many colleagues never got time for it either.
